Meanwhile, Ashlee's director for her "L.O.V.E." video, Diane Martel, thinks it's sad when there's not enough time to make a video everything she originally imagined it could be. She'd hoped to have a lot more action in the clip, like having Ashlee slash a guy's shirt off with a sword, and have her fellow partygoers chain-saw furniture into pieces, but there was a "limited amount of time." "We had a samurai expert on set standing by, and my art director somehow found a grandfather clock at the last minute," Martel said. "Those ideas were all prepped and Ashlee was into all of them ... but I suppose time got the best of us and not the other way around." Still, she says, "Ashlee gave 100 percent, was very spontaneous and playful and extremely focused" and "we ended up with a great video."
