In Touch exclusively reported on December 2, Brad Pitt isn’t just playing daddy to Maddox, 4, and his sister, Zahara, 11 months, anymore. Angelina Jolie filed a petition in LA for Brad to become the children’s father and change their names to Jolie-Pitt. And when the pair wed — which they are planning to do soon — Angelina will change her last name to Jolie-Pitt, too.
This monumental change in Brad’s relationship with Maddox and Zahara didn’t come without a struggle. Insiders say it took an ultimatum from Brad — who threatened to leave her — to change Angelina’s mind!

That's the whole point of him adopting them. So that he's always their father... natural, married parents split all the time anyway... Maddox and Zahara won't be any more damaged than any of them.

She should wait a while before she gets the kids too involved in her relationship IMO. Plus, Jolie Pitt sounds ridiculous, I've never liked the surname Pitt, it only goes with the name Brad.

I agree-everyone is freaking out-oh the kids-the kids-
Like you said, even "real" parents split and though it may be hard on kids, they are more resilient than people give them credit for...
If they divorce/split-so what-happens every day to us common folk...

I don't see her tolerating an ultimatum (sp?) from anyone and I don't see him having the backbone to issue one either. It sounds like bs to me.
