Jessica Simpson has reportedly turned to Johnny Knoxville for support since her split from husband Nick Lachey.

The beautiful blonde has been comforted by her gorgeous 'Dukes of Hazzard' co-star since her public split from singer Nick.

A source said: 'There has been no shortage of shoulders for Jess to cry on.

Lots of friends - both male and female - have rallied round. But Johnny has been one of the most supportive.'

But despite his compassion for the singer turned actress, sources insist the 'Jackass' star and Jessica are just good friends.

A source is quoted by Britain's Daily Star newspaper: 'There's nothing going between them. Johnny is a happily married man who just feels very protective of Jess and what she is having to go through at the moment.'

I love Johnny, and when me and my hubby split up I sure he's around to comfort me!

Last night I caught David Spade's Show Biz Show and there was a hilarious bit where he wheedled past security into the Simpson home with a camera (pointed down with just feet showing while he talked to the various people) and he found Knoxville hiding in Jess' closet! Knoxville was like "Hey dude! you didn't see me here! :::extending drink glass::: "By the way, can you bring me another jack and coke?"

Anyone else catch this?

I'm give it 2 months before Jessica "I don't have sex outside of marriage!!!!!!!" Simpson has followed in the latest celeb trend of getting knocked up by your movie star boyfriend. I wonder how Creepy Pa Simpson would explain that.

well if it is true, then Jessica will lose any sympathy she may gain from the bust up of her marriage. Of course, she's not getting much sympathy because most of the media that is out on the split places the blame in her court. Nick seems to be getting most of the sympathy. I can just see this simple little split up snowballing until Jessica pretty much gets branded as the whore of babylon.
