She was supposed to fly out to Virginia Beach to Timbaland's studio to record it. And then they were all going to perform it on the VMAs. Brit didn't show up. Bitch, someone giftwrapped a comeback for your redneck ass! If you dont' want it, and this is the case - the move your ass back to the Deep South and work at the Piggly Wiggly!

A music industry source said Timberlake wrote the duet specifically for Spears. Although they wouldn't be together in the studio, his voice would have been mixed with hers later. "Timbaland set aside a week out of his crazy schedule to do this - and then, just before she was supposed to fly out, Britney abruptly canceled the session and refused to do the song.

"It's crazy," the insider added. "She's looking for a comeback, and this would have not only been a huge hit, but something she could have opened the MTV Video Awards with and really blown everyone away."

And then there was the usual stuff about how she's bipolar, and the kids are drinking soda pop, and Nana Spears once walked all the way to Mobile just to get some corn fritters to go with the pulled pork. Jive Records is standing by her crazy ass, which means they want a stake in the tragic biopic in twenty years.

Well kiddies, that's most certainly the end of her 'career'.

So sad. As much as I like to hate on the girl, I always held out a teeny bit of hope she'd get her act together. If this is to be believed, she has ruined quite possibly the best revival her career could have had. Can you imagine the hype and headlines this act could have pulled?

It is kinda sad. I didn't believe the rumors when they came out that she and Justin were doing a song together or that Timbaland would produce a comeback track for her. It sounded too good to be real. Now that we find out it was for real, and she has BOTH Timba and Timber with her and she shit on it, well, I don't think there's is any hope left for her at all.
