Hilary Duff defends new boyfriend Mike Comrie

Singer Hilary Duff, 19, has been quite the multi-tasker lately. Along with a successful film and recording career, she’s playing advocate for her boyfriend.

There is a vicious rumor that Duff’s man, hockey star Mike Comrie, 26, slept with a teammate’s wife, which led to his trade in 2003. And Hilary is saying it isn’t so.

The pair began dating early last month, and came out with their relationship in a very public display of dining out on July 25th. The actress has full confidence in her beau, and vehemently denies the rumors of his player-like tendencies.

In addition to standing by her man, Duff is releasing “Stuff By Hilary Duff.” It’s a design it yourself collection of fashion accessories and creative trinkets.

Duff told press, “My new line of DIY fashion crafts at Michaels under ‘my stuff by hilary duff’ label allows you to get creative with your style—so you can always wear something new to highlight your own individuality.”

She's looked in her mid-20's to me since she was 16. I'm not saying she looks old, or lies about her age. She just looks older that she is to me.

^^ ITA, I just always thought she was at least my age (21-22). She just comes off as older. I mean it probably doesn't help that she dates guys that *I* consider too old for someone that age but, I'm just floored that she's that young. Was Joel dating her when she was like 16 or what?

Something like that. Must have been frustrating for the lad since she was all public about retaining her hymen until marriage. That and she was under-age and all.

Joel was like 26 when they started dating and Hil was like 16 or so..as I remember...

And you know what, Joel 'promised' to be a virgin till marriage too (he's religious i guess and all and i used to like Good Charlotte way back when i was a little younger and stupid)..but looks like with Nicole that didn't quite happen..

Yeah Joel used to wear a promise ring given to him from his mother to remain a virgin until he got married.

And then there was the time where he was addicted to drugs and alcohol too... He has had a crazy life pretty much.

I feel bad I know all this..it reminds me of my Good Charlotte fanatic days..

I used to really like their music, I never really followed the band though. I mean, I had no idea Joel had a promise ring, haha
