Jessica Simpson's friends have claimed the sexy star is pregnant.
The
Dukes of Hazzard actress — who has battled rumours of a split with hubby Nick Lachey for months — is six weeks pregnant, according to US publication
Star. "They tried to keep their secret to themselves," a friend said.
"But one day recently Nick decided it was time to break the news starting with his mum, Cate.
"They were just goofing around in the bedroom of their home and Nick said, 'Let's make that call'.
Jessica, 24, has been eating for two, another friend said.
"Jessica's got to be pregnant," said a source who worked on her show
Newlyweds.
"She's smirking like she knows something nobody else does and she's eating like a horse."
The star is piling on the pounds, the publication said.
Another source estimated that the curvy star has put on more than 10kg in the past five or six weeks.
"She's also hanging on Nick like they're on a second honeymoon," said a friend.
"And that's quite a change from their sometimes distant and dour behaviour over the last year, in which they were often seen apart."
A source added: "Having a baby would finally stop people saying they're faking their marriage.
"Either way, the world should know soon.
"All anyone can hope for is a happy ending."

Could this be true? With the other stories of splitting up I would not think so....
) but whoever writes these articles is smoking crack cause there is no way she's put on 10kg... that's about 22 pounds. yeah, she's put on a bit of weight, but on a gnome like her, even with 4kg she'd look pudgier than she has in recent pics.
