Default Helena Christensen claims her marriage to Norman Reedus was a sham

Supermodel Helena Christensen has hinted her marriage to actor Norman Reedus wasn't legitimate - after claiming she has never been married.

The Danish catwalk queen was wed to former model Reedus from 1988 to 2002 and the pair had a son together, seven-year-old Mingus.

But during an attack on the press for printing mistruths about her, Christensen claimed she has never been married or divorced.

She said, "A common misperception of me is that I was married and divorced. I never was.

"I find it utterly bizarre that total strangers write about your life in a completely fictional manner."

"The former model Helena Christensen is his longtime girlfriend and the mother of his son. They said that they are not officially married." Norman Reedus - Biography
"Supermodel HELENA CHRISTENSEN is against marriage, because she believes it would make her long-term relationship with boyfriend NORMAN REEDUS "claustrophobic".
The 35-year-old Dane, who has a four-year-old son, MINGUS, with Reedus, refuses to enter into wedlock because she already knows she is in love.
Christensen says, "You don't have to have papers and own each other. There is no point to it.
"Everybody I know, married or not, goes through the same s**t. It's not like you're safe in marriage or have no problems. I can't help thinking that perhaps, if it happened, it would make me feel claustrophobic."
26/11/2004 17:39" HELENA CHRISTENSEN - CHRISTENSEN DISMISSES .CLAUSTROPHOBIC. MARRIAGE

How can you be "not officially maried" - its an absolute, you are either married or you are not.
