Nicole Richie reveals why she's having a baby
Nicole Richie is more than three months pregnant with Joel Madden's baby, and is dismissing wild rumors surrounding her shock pregnancy reports NW Magazine.
"I got pregnant because I want to turn my life around," the 25-year-old told friends and family during an emotional meeting recently.
Nicole is hurt and furious over speculation she's having a baby just to avoid a possible jail sentence.
"She's fed up with all the misinformation being tossed around, especially the ridiculous claims that she got pregnant on purpose to stay out of prison," a friend tells. "Hearing that one made her really anxious to speak out and set the record straight." [ Source]

Honestly, my aunt, who is quite comparable to Nicole in a sense, had two children and believe me, that DID NOT by any means turn HER life around...I just really don't think using a child as a means to turn one's life around is exactly a smart move on her part...That doesn't even work for parents trying to hold their marriages together just for the kids. Clearly she has a lot of learning to do if that's what she assumes..(and of course if this is even true about her being pregnant in the first place.) Her court date is Wednesday so maybe we'll find out if she is going to jail and if she IS pregnant or not...

She wants to turn her life around so she gets pregnant in order to do so. Shouldnt she have turned her life around first. So many screwed up kids in the world due to selfish parents - guess she will produce another one.

Having a baby turns your life around? Having a baby when you are an addict in active addiction does nothing but ruin a child's life. Its selfish and rarely has a positive result. You want to change your life? Stop using drugs. Go to therapy, get clean and stay clean for several years. THEN decide if having a child will be a good decision.
