Britney Spears wants her mom, Lynne, to stay a country mile away from her kids. But the combination to the code that could give Lynne some serious legal firepower is 3104.

Specifically, Section 3104 of California's Family Code gives judges the power to award visitation rights to grandparents. Judges consider two factors -- if there's a preexisting relationship between the grandparent and the grandchildren -- in Lynne's case, there is.

The judge will also balance the benefits the child will get from visiting grandma against the rights of the parents to exercise their parental authority.

Here's where it gets interesting. If both parents nix the notion of grandma having visitation, there's a strong presumption the judge should deny grandma's request. So K-Fed may be critical if Lynne takes it to the judge. If Fed sides with Lynne, she'd have a shot.

I can't see KFed siding with Lynne. She could gain custody sometime in the future if she gets too close to the kids.

Lynne raised Britney. That is testament to her parenting skills. This girl was getting boob jobs, posing like a porn star, and running around half naked before she was old enough to vote. Her other daughter lives on her own at 16. Lynne should stfu.

K Fed will probably try to get custody. He can make Brit pay for the nannies.

^^^ Absolutely. I'm not saying she's a great mother, she's probably far from it, but some moms try hard and their kids still turn out to be assholes, like Britney. Britney has zero conscience, class, or smarts. She's a manipulative, cunning little twat. Her mother probably made some bad choices but she never seemed malicious or abusive, and both of her other kids seem to have a good relationship with her. Her mother has the right to see those kids, the only way she wouldn't is if she was a danger to their welfare - which we all know that Britney herself is a danger to her kids, not her mom. Britney is just having paranoid delusions right now, she doesn't want to be told what to do, or that she has serious problems to be addressed. I want to see her ass kicked and smeared all over that courtroom. And I also want her to lose custody of her kids. Her kids deserve so much better than this asshole of a mother.

I think Lynne is okay, she's done her best to help Britney when she was downsliding. I think she should be able to see her grandkids though. You can only do so much when raising your kids, you guide them, teach them, and pray to God they turn out okay.

Britney got a little too big for her britches, I think Lynne tried to stop her and Britney got defiant and thats when she pulled alot of her stunts(her 1st marriage to a old friend) and then ran to Mommy to fix it. Lynne always did too, but this time, I think Lynne showed her tough love and Brit did NOT like it at all and shit hit the fan.

That's what always gets me about these immature "adults". They shit all over their parents but at the first sign of real trouble they run back to them, use them, and then when they feel better they run off and do it all again. They get their parents all involved in their business, but at some point they think they're being too nosy or intrusive, and then cut them off. Either you behave like an adult all the time or a child all the time, you can't have it both ways.

I think Lynne is the classic stage mother who put her daughter's fame before her daughter's well being. It is to late to reat a child properly when they are late teens or twentysomethings.

I agree. And I can't imagine that Lynne wouldn't have KFed's support. They seem to have some sort of alliance going, and I think they seem to share the belief that Britney is incompetent with her children and unfit to be around them right now. They're on the same team.
