Jessica Simpson's dad is delaying the release date of her new movie 'Blond Ambition'
The buzz behind Blonde Ambition is fading as reports surface that the Jessica Simpson film is incomplete and no longer has a release date.
Simpson’s manager/dad Joe Simpson has reportedly pushed back the release date twice because the movie is expected to flop.
"First, the release date was set for Aug. 3, and then it was delayed until the last week of August," an insider tells the New York Daily News’ Gatecrasher. "Papa Joe then intervened and said he wasn't comfortable with the level of competition from other films that month."
Meanwhile, another source suggests that the singer may want to stick with her day job.
Another source says: "Jessica was not very focused on-set and flubbed her lines often. She always had her dog around, was on the phone with [then-] boyfriend John Mayer or was sitting in a warmed-up SUV."

Um, Underdog, Hot Rod, and Bratz: The Movie......(also The Bourne Ultimatum and Charlie Bartlett). The movie must be pretty f*cking bad for them to not release it on August 3rd.

Seriously, I think releasing it would only further damage her image and whatever's left of her career.
On another note, it seems there is no movie Luke Wilson will turn down. He's been in some BAD movies: I just saw "Idiocracy" the other week and yikes!! Cringe-inducing. He should really be a bit more selective.

Anyway, this movie looks like a piece of shit, and I'm excited to read all the negative reviews. Do you like how all Simpson does is whimper throughout the trailer? And the way she says her lines? And what's the deal with Willie Nelson? And this doesn't look like Working Girl at all, thought it's supposed to be a "remake." I mean, Tess McGill was a bright and gifted person made to endure a lot of humiliation because of where she came from. Sigourney Weaver was a great villain--it wasn't all moustache-twirling and posturing. Both of them were wonderful (I thought Harrison was the weak link, but he was still pretty good).
The premise sounds a lot more Legally Blonde than anything else.
Anyway. Luke Wilson needs to pick better projects, and I think everyone should sign a contract that they will never work with Jessica again. That whole family--just go away, please. PLEASE. PLEASE.
Oh, this clip isn't that bad. I think this movie has the potential to become another "Glitter" or "Swept Away".

That was funny. I love Deborah Wilson on MadTV. But her Whitney parodies are classic.
She was amazing. I love her Whitney parodies. But the Mariah is funny too. (The "Love Muffin" video is hilarious.....ha ha ha ha "crazyboobyrainbow" ha ha ha ha ha).
Anyway. I think this movie looks bad. Blonde Ambition. Wow, real original. I also like that they don't disguise that she's wearing extensions.

As far as this movie goes, it's automatically bad because Jessica's in it. But I have a hard time believing that her father has the clout to postpone a movie. I mean, Beyonce's father tried to get the studio to go back and re-edit Dreamgirls to play up Beyonce more and they laughed in his face. I think this is just a PR spin to try and cover up the fact that the studio thinks the movie stinks and it's going straight to DVD.
