11/20/05 COURTNEY LOVE: SOBER? PRACTICING BUDDHISM?
IS the world ready for Courtney Love's proposed new disc, "The Rehab Demos"? That's the title of the new collection of songs she wrote while getting straight. "I just sort of lost faith in myself last year," she told the London Guardian. "Getting dragged off to Bellevue in front of the whole [bleep]ing world, it can really zap a person's confidence." Love's new songs have dark titles like "Depths of My Despair" and "How Dirty Girls Get Clean." Love says she is now sober and practicing Buddhism.

If she's a Buddhist then it's gotta be some weird Hollywood version of Buddhism like the Zen Peacemakers, the order that does stuff like don red noses and go entertain impoverished kids in Mexico and holds street retreats where they pretend to be homeless for a weekend.

I know.. it's so depressing.. Tara Reid has either given up booze or has fallen so far off the D-list Celeb-O-Meter that her drunken buffoonery goes ignored by the press, and now Courtney goes all east-asia on us.
