Hugh Hefner 'betrays' Girlfriend Over Magazine Article.

Playboy boss HUGH HEFNER has upset girlfriend KENDRA WILKINSON by failing to stand up for the blonde beauty over an unflattering magazine article.

Wilkinson was reportedly furious when the June (07) issue of America's Elle magazine insinuated she was less intelligent than Hefner's other girlfriends, Bridget Marquardt and Holly Madison, possessing only a "dazed personality and limited vocabulary" on the foursome's E! show The Girls Next Door.

The story also quoted Hefner remarking on her "distinctly unintellectual charm".

The couple recently discussed the article on U.S. talk show Larry King Live, where Hefner promised to seek retribution from the publication for the story.

Wilkinson said, "A magazine article that just came out... it hurt my feelings and it really, like, crushed my heart. And Hef being such a great guy, he said, 'You know what, Kendra? I was going to write them a letter and say, like, how this is wrong.'" However, the New York Post's PageSix column claims the tycoon's actual letter read, "I just finished reading your article... and think it's the best, most perceptive piece on the show to date... I hope you get a chance to do a longer story for the New York Times or The New Yorker."

I think they have "some" brighteness - in the sense that they know how to keep Heff sweet enough to reach their goals.
Kendra might have gone over the top when she went on tape saying she has a 3 year plan - or something similar- with Hef, then she goes on her own.
maybe Hef realised what she said will look like she is using him and didn't like that for his ego (even if, deep inside, he MUST know it's true).

She sounds like she has a 70 IQ. As a matter of fact, she and Brad Pitt would probably be very evenly matched in the intelligence department.

I don't think Holly is a future Nobel Prize winner, either, but she at least covers it with bitchiness. Bridget is supposedly almost smart, but I've never seen any evidence of that from hearing her speak.

My thoughts exactly. On the show, occasionally something will come out of Bridget's or Holly's mouth that is actually intelligent.
