Paris Hilton has been fitted for ankle bracelet and reassigned to house arrest, after authorities decided to release Hilton from prison due to medical reasons, this according to Los Angeles County Sheriff's Dept. spokesperson, Steve Whitmore.

Whitmore says he cannot release details about Paris' medical issue due to confidentiality.

Paris will be under house confinement in her West Hollywood home for 40 days. After the 40 days are up, Whitmore says she will have "fulfilled her debt to society."

Whitmore wants to make it clear that Paris was not released early, she was reassigned. She is technically still in custody.

This is the way to break up a party. lots of other people hiding behind confidentiality "agreements", and skanky-fuckhole Hilton lives life slightly less large in her own diggs. This just pisses me off. Keep track of this date. We shouldn't see a photo of her in public for 40 more days, but I guarantee you that won't happen either. Medical condition, my ass. Junkie needed her fix. She looks so damn smug about it too, if the picture on MSNBC's site is her leaving the jail. Looks like they made sure to let herself get all "prettied up" to face the press. Bullshit.

Even if they have withdrawal, they don't let them out. In fact even people who have cancer and I mean cancer all over, can't leave. This is the biggest bullshit yet.

I agree with Goose. If this little bitch is getting out of what was at FIRST a 45 day sentence, which was reduced to 23 days and is now on house arrest we BETTER not see a picture, hear from her OR about her for the next 40 days! But that will not be possible...

Umm, jails are equipped to provide medical care, and when necessary, inmates are taken to hospitals or affiliated clinics under guard. L.A. county better come up with a better explanation than this shite!!
