Will Hollywood's bad girls lay low on MTV weekend?
Paris and friends go MIA at the annual show.

Don't count on seeing Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Mischa Barton or Nicole Richie out-and-about on MTV Movie Awards weekend.
It's doubtful these self-destructive young starlets will feel much like partying, crashing their cars, vomiting in public bathrooms, or being rushed by ambulance to a hospital again. That's so last weekend.
But you never know what stunts these unpredictable Party Girls will pull. As late as Thursday afternoon, Lindsay Lohan remained on the list to present an award on the MTV Movie Awards Sunday night. Will she still show? "We just don't know," says Emily Yeomans of MTV. When will they know? "We don't know that either."
Not that the show's sex appeal will suffer. Other presenters include Victoria Beckham, Jessica Biel, Cameron Diaz, Mandy Moore, Jessica Alba and Katherine Heigl.
Lohan won two MTV Movie Awards for "Mean Girls" in 2005 and one for "Freaky Friday" in 2003. So will her absence hurt her career? Or will it help her tarnished image?
Most Lindsay-watchers feel it would be a bad move for her to make an appearance Sunday night. Nor, they say, should she hit Jay-Z and Rihanna's post-party or any of the pre-awards swag suites going on around town.
Perhaps it's time -- one might even say high time -- for Lohan to take it down a few notches. After a major Memorial Day meltdown (crashing her car, getting arrested on suspicion of DUI, being photographed passed out in a pal's car), Lohan was chauffeured (thank heavens!) by her attorney to Promises, the same luxurious summer camp--oh, sorry, medical rehab facility--that Britney Spears visited this year.
The repercussions went almost viral. La Vida Lohan was summarily dumped as the co-DJ (with Steve Aoki) at Thursday night's L.A. Reebok bash held at a private estate. Her exs -- Callum Best and Harry Morton -- partied on without her. And a planned party to celebrate Lohan's cover-girl status for LA Confidential magazine is also doubtful.
Her next film role in "Poor Things," also starring Shirley MacLaine, Olympia Dukakis and Rosario Dawson, is on shaky ground. Producers have released a statement saying they are "trying to rearrange the shooting schedule to facilitate her working at the end of the shoot to coincide with the completion of her rehabilitation." But that could change.
Linds does have one party to look forward to. Sort of. She's legally contracted to hold her big long-anticipated 21st birthday party at Caesars Palace's Pure nightclub on July 2. Woo hoo, break out the party hats! The girl's finally legal and she won't (hopefully) be drinking. Ah, irony.
