The actress revealed the following exchange in the new issue of Marie Claire.
Zahara: "I need a cookie, Mommy."
Angelina: "You don't need a cookie."
Zahara: "Yes I do because Daddy will cry if I don't."
"shes a real smartass"

that's cute!
All 2 y.o.s are smartarses in my experience. My nephews were all cute until they hit 2, then they became little demons!

She sounds pretty smart to me. That was a hilarious comment to her mummy. If my daughter said something like that I would be bragging to all and sundry about how brilliant she is.

the phrasiology "I need this" "I need that" is very prevelent in my friend's LA family, & I heard it a lot while out shopping etc.
Its a verbal mannerism - however, I DO like Zahara's reply!

You have a point, but if they raise the kid organic and toss on a good marinade, you should be able to avoid that particular problem.

I've always thought that being a smartass was a sign of intelligence. Look out, Angelina and Brad!
