Coke Possession May Land Lindsay Lohan In The Slammer

Actress Lindsay Lohan may face a jail term for allegedly possessing cocaine.

The police had recovered "a usable amount of cocaine" from the 'Mean Girls' star's luxury car after it met with an accident in Beverly Hills on May 26, suspected to be a result of the actress' drunk-driving.

Investigators who arrested Lohan said that the drug was found in her 75,000 pound Mercedes convertible.

"A usable amount of an illegal narcotic tentatively identified as cocaine was recovered and booked. Police would not specify where the drugs were found," People quoted Beverly Hills Police Lt. Mitch McCann as saying at that time.

"She was charged with a misdemeanour. There is a potential for additional charges," he had added.

The 20-year-old actress may be sentenced to one-year imprisonment if convicted of possessing cocaine, as under Californian law it is an offence punishable by jail term.

Fox News correspondent Laura Ingle said on Sunday night that Lohan could serve time alongside hotel heiress Paris Hilton, who is due to begin her sentence on June 5.

"She could face a serious jail term and could well end up in the same facility as Paris," the Sun quoted her as saying.

It is believed that Lohan was driving the car at the time of the accident in which she herself suffered minor chest injuries. The car was carrying two more passengers.

There was a mention somewhere that the coke was not found on Lindsay or in the car itself, which lead me to guess that it was on one of her passengers. We'll see, eh? If it was found on her or in the glove compartment or something, wouldn't she already be charged with it?

I think her court hearing is set for sometime in August. As for the drug charge. It was found in her car. But she had other passengers in there with her. If nobody takes responsibility for the drugs. Lindsay can be charged with it. Although if they drugs were found under a passenger seat. I'm sure a good defense lawyer which Lohan will have. Could get it thrown out. He'll bring up the fact that it wasn't found on her and one of the other people in the car could have left it.

I really don't think cops are going to waste time finger printing a coke bag to see if Lindsay's prints match. Now if it was a kilo or something sure. But for a gram or so I don't think they'd bother

Dammit she better not get ANY form of prison or jail time. Can't these haters realize the pain she is in, she is crying out for help. She is way too precious and talented of a young woman to waste by punishing her. She needs rehab and love from all of us.

But yeah, probably she won't get anything, maybe community work, maybe rehab, which is a shame. She should have spent the night in jail because of the DUI and even that she didn't have to do. We can't expect fair punishment. Although I'm positive a year in jail would fix Lindsay.

....and use it to stay out of prison/jail imho! Possibly also citing any family member's adiction issues she can to assist her "getting away with it".
Give her the Robert Downey Jnr rehab! That'll make her wake up!

personally i could give a shit what happens to this stupid ass. Anything she puts out from now on will not make its way into my home (not that it would have before). i know it wont make a dent but I'll feel better about myself.
my 13 yr old daughter doesnt like her either.

What she needs a big slap in the face in the form of a harsh punishment!!!.

Facts are facts she is an underage drinker who was drink driving when she crashed her car and if thats not bad enough illegal drugs were found aswell she could have killed someone!. Most people arent haters they are just acknowledging that what she has done is really really serious. I agree she does need rehab but she does not need "love from all of us" (please gimme a break!) because thats one of the things that has brought her down to where she is now, too many of her "fans" are idolising her and apluading her silly actions. She needs the love and support of her family ONLY and on one else.

I for one have no sympathy for her. She had the world at her feet and now shes blown it. She needs a harsh punishment to wake her drugged up ass up and she aint getting no love from me and most people who have a brain.

Don't put her in jail. If she is allowed to continue, those who aer fighting to keep her free and such will be standing over her as she reclines in her casket. Feed her excesses, fuel her downward spiral.

I have seen two out of control young women die because others prevented them from getting help. They did what they wanted, when they wanted, and if there were consequences, they were swept away.
