Dita Von Teese's sun block

Dita Von Teese is using sun-blocking curtains to stop her getting a tan while she is at the Cannes Film Festival.

The burlesque dancer is determined to keep her famous pale complexion while she is the sun-drenched South of France and has taken drastic measures to avoid bronzing rays.

Dita - whose estranged husband is the equally pale goth rocker Marilyn Manson - said: "I have brought my own curtains to the hotel to stop the sun getting in, and I have only used the hotel pool at night.

"I have also packed vitamins to stop the sun doing anything to me. Some foods accelerate tanning, so I'm very careful about what I eat here."

It's stops me from tanning, but then I don't usually spend a lot of time in the sun. It just seems the measures she's going through are a bit extreme.

^ Ha ha, I hope not. I imagine she takes vitamin C. I'm as pale as she is, but I don't go to those lengths. Seems a bit extreme.

Oops, I meant vitamin D!

Don't forget the endorphins! I bet she's pale and gets super freckley (sp?) I'm pale; seemed to grow out of my freckles...

I'm almost as paranoid as she is. The difference is I am naturally tanned & I would rather not look a crispy piece of fried chicken. I also have freckles that get really bad when I am out in the sun for more than 10-15 minutes.

I've had melanoma and I am not that bad.
Titanium Dioxide or any of the European sunblocks are fantastic.

Exactly, it's not that hard to stay out of the sun. Going to the extreme to bring you own curtains is just absurd! Try SPF 50 and wear a hat, it's not like you are going to get much color by walking around anyhow.
