Is Zahara Jolie Pitt bow legged?

Brad Pitt brought his children Pax Thien, 3 1/2, and Zahara Marley, 2, to school on Thursday morning in Prague. Zahara let dad know that she had spotted a camera!

Is it me or is she bow legged? Maybe that's why they don't let her wear alot of dresses or let her walk around so much...

Yes she is, she had rickets before she was adopted.

Yes she is bow legged. She is still adorable though.

Its caused by a vitamin deficiency, so I'm sure she is being treated with good diet and vitamins. It might be too painful to try to straighten her legs manually. I'm guessing the doctor has suggested to wait it out to see if they straighten any as she grows with better nutrition, though they will probably always be somewhat bowed.

I would have assumed childrens legs to be relatively pliable.. put some sort of straightening implement on them

^Yeah, I too would think it would cause back problems later (or early?) on.
Don't they put braces on kids like this, to straighten their legs while their bones are softer?

I'd be worried about her having problems later on... walking, and with her back.

^^ They are, but rickets causes bone softening and also muscle problems. I know some children with rickets do get braces or even surgery, but I don't know the specifics of Zahara's case so i can't hazard a guess at her diagnosis and treatment other than i previously gave.

Edited to add: Click on the link and go down to the middle of the page. There are some pics of a child before and after 2 years of treatment with Vitamin D. So you can see why most docs would take a wait and see approach with a child that young. Rickets Photos

There are medical ways to improve it and I'm sure the JPs have the bucks to ge the best opinons and treatments possible. She's really really cute. So is PAX. He has such a sweet look about him.

I've seen photos where AJ is taking Z to the drs for check ups etc. Wasn't she a really tiny aby when she was adopted? Because from that age (surely?) when would have been treated & therefore should be ok.

In a slightly different case, my cousin broke his leg really badly when he was a toddler & although it set him back for a couple of years he caught up eventually. I'm sure that it'll be the same for Z. I do like the picture of her pointing, she's doing "evil edna" LOL!
