Eva Longoria to fly her wedding cake from California to Paris

EVA LONGORIA is making sure her French wedding in July (07) features a sweet treat from California - the cake will be flown in for the nuptials.

Longoria and her fiance, basketball player Tony Parker, have reportedly commissioned celebrity dessert creator Sam Godfrey to design the perfect wedding cake for the reception.

And the couple are even paying for someone from Godfrey's company Perfect Endings to accompany the cake on a plane and hand deliver it in time for the big day (07Jul07), according to celebrity blogger Marc Malkin.

It won't be the first time Godfrey's cake creations have adorned the top table at a celebrity wedding - Christina Aguilera, Longoria's pal Jessica Simpson and Britney Spears also commissioned the confectioner to bake a dream cake for them when they wed.

What a moronic thing to do. This seems like a logistical nightmare, all because of a petulant idiot diva. I wonder who's footing the bill for that expense, having an entire wedding cake FLOWN FROM CA TO PARIS. She strikes me as the kind of entitled, cheap bitch to make someone sponsor her wedding a la Star Jones. Ick.

I'm always pretty amazed at how far they transport cakes on Ace of Cakes, but this seems like it will be a major hassle for whoever has to fly with the cake. Maybe I'm just uncoordinated, but I don't think I could fly on an airplane with a cake without messing it up.

If she really wants that one cook to make her cake wouldn't it have be easier to fly HIM to Paris and let him make the cake in Paris??? Just a lot more expensive I guess.

Unless Eva plans on jumping out of the cake and blowing everybody, why does she think people care? The best part is that she's making such a big deal about a marriage that'll be over in under a year. If they even make it to the altar. Run, Tony, run!
