Jane Fonda told Larry King that she is happy Paris Hilton is going to the slammer. Fonda said that people less privileged than Hilton would have received an "ever harsher punishment."

She said, "I'm glad she's being sentenced. I'm glad she is going to do the time. If she were black, if she were poor, she would have done it much sooner."

"I believe these young people have to, you know, have to - have to learn their lessons. You pay for irresponsibility. Kids need structure. Kids need a good foundation and values. I was lucky, my dad had values and he passed them on. If you don't have that in your life as a young person, it's really tough. And especially if you're rich and spoiled and you are made into a celebrity."

Yeah, my first thought too. She probably hasn't been living the life of a child since she was 12 years old!

When I look at Paris, I don't see anyone beyond 16 years old mentally. She's having her fun now, but she will pay dearly for it. Well, I guess she already is. Truly, what man is really going to want to be with her for anything other than her $$$ and her sexual exploits?

I agree with Jane 100%. I've always liked Jane for always telling it like it is. She's absolutely right and Paris' parents are as much to blame for not giving her any of that structure or sense of respect for herself in terms of morals and values.

Jane's 100% right. If Herpes Hilton were poor, black, or just an average every day person they would put her under the jail. The sooner they lock her up, the better.
