Your child is boring? Maybe she has nothing interesting in her environment.

What does she expect her daughter to do at that age -- sit across the kitchen table from her, have a few beers and shoot the shit?!

of course newborns are boring. all they do is eat, cry, sleep and shit. what's wrong with admitting it? children are not holy cows that can't ever be lovingly made fun of by their parents (whether by calling them boring or 'blobs'). big deal, and it's true too, newborns are boring little blobs. cute and adorable but boring nonetheless.

She's 10 weeks old! What do you want her to do? Play truth or dare?

I dunno ... I never found either of my newborns boring. Little babies do have a personality, but it's subtle. If you spend time with them, you'll notice it. Some of the expressions my son would get looking at new things was so funny, but maybe I am just easily amused.

What a lame thing to say. Does she serioulsy think she sounds cool by saying a baby is boring, some of these celebrities should not be allowed to speak. They just prove how dumb they are.

I agree, too. What's so wrong with being honest about babies? Noone expects them to hold a conversation on current events or get up and dance a jig, but when all they do is lie there and stare at the ceiling, it's boring. It's not until they get old enough to interact a little (around 4 or 5 months) do they start to get interesting. At least in my experiences that's been the case.

I'm with you guys, I don't get it either. When my kids were infants all of we moms used to joke about our blobs and how easy it was (and if there were older kids, how grateful we were).
