She may not be jumping up and down on any talk-show couches, but Nicole Kidman could end up beating her ex to the altar. Friends of the Aussie stunner contacted by Star believe an engagement may be imminent: In fact, Keith Urban, the Australian country singer, who, sources say, she's been quietly dating for at least three months, has already popped the big question!

The couple arrived at Washington, D.C.'s 1789 Restaurant on Oct. 25 to celebrate Urban's 38th birthday. But the sexy crooner had something much more important on his mind: Following their romantic two-hour meal, a source says Keith asked Nicole to marry him.

"So far, she hasn't told Keith yes or no," says the source. "But just hearing Nicole squeak and purr with joy about the great feeling Keith's question gave her means she's not dismissing him out of hand."

Will Nicole, also 38, take the plunge? While some friends say it's highly likely, others wonder if the actress' reaction to Urban's amorous attention could have something to do with her ex Tom Cruise and his accelerated love affair with pregnant fiancée Katie Holmes. "I think Tom's engagement has affected Nicole," a friend tells Star. "It certainly must have her thinking about her own romantic mortality, so to speak."

Meh, I'd call her boring, she never really does anything to be gossipped about. So I suppose she's perfect in that respect - well behaved and not too attention seeking but I like wild celebs that I can slag off and roll my eyes at!

I think she's very professional, a good actress and a good mom. Not perfect exactly, but she remains classy and has reason to be proud of who she is not just as a celeb, but as a person too. I think that's something many actors/actresses could take a lesson from.

I love him! No he's not gorgeous but definately hot. I've seen him in concert and to me, there's nothing more sexy than a man with a guitar.

Is this even true? I mean, I heard somewhere he just broke up with Nikki Taylor during the summer. That doesn't give them much time to actually date, what, with him on tour and her doing movies and such. Then again, celebrities never do things the "normal" way.

I remember when I first saw Keith Urban at a country music talent show in 1982,in Berri ,South Australia, he was just a young kid. I thought he was cute then. But why is he thought of as not so bright? Or goofy? He has to be soemthing to get that CMA award? Or does that not count? You just have to be able to write and sing songs that hit a nerve.?

If she doesn't overdo it, then I'd say yes -- she has survived the
major H'wood marriage, she's been in the public eye for almost
two decades, she seems like she'd be a polite dinner guest...
I wonder if she'll do Hollywood Squares someday...
