Shakira bonds with Angelina Jolie

Latina pop star SHAKIRA has reportedly struck up a friendship with actress ANGELINA JOLIE, bonding over their anti-poverty campaigning.

Shakira is a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF (United Nations' Children's Fund) and also has her own children's foundation in her native Colombia, while Jolie is a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations' Refugee Agency and set up many charity funds in her children's names.

Jolie's friend says, "They have so much in common, we can't believe they didn't become buddies sooner. "Shakira loves kids and runs a children's charity in her home country so they have been swapping tips on fundraising."

It seems like anybody can be an ambassador for the UN or Unicef. I believe Flavor Flav is also a UN Ambassador.
