Britney Spears plays House of Blues gig in a lackluster 20 minutes

7:20PM - Shit…it’s 720 already….I hope we make it on time! Show starts at 8pm…doors have apparently opened. Will describe stage soon.

7:47PM -We just got here to the house of blues.the line is huge and is spanning 3 full blocks! Someone just drove by and yelled “britney is my mom”.

8:03PM- We’re about to get in! The show will probably not start till 830…..stay tuned for more info.

8:10PM - I just spotted Allie, her cousin, outside the entrance talking on her radio.

8:20PM - They are being EXTREMELY strict about no cameras and no videos. People are getting kicked out.

8:30PM - We are inside…they are playing Britney remixes….there are two DJ’s on stage. No sign of Britney yet. Place is so packed!

8:35PM - The DJ said, “Are you guys ready for britney spears or what?” People cheering and clapping….

8:53PM - She’s about to get on. DJs are gonna play a little bit mor. She’s running late…..Haha

9:05PM - OK. Just a few more minutes. DJs are leaving, security and Allie got on stage and waved to the crowd..WTF!?

9:10PM - Oh Britney! Always so late, still hasn’t gotten on stage. HoB has about 650 people here right now.

9:22PM - People are starting to boo! Haha….she’s prolly backstage freaking out! Come on out already!

9:37PM - Come on Britney…..Where you at? You better not bail on this crowd!

9:53PM - OK! It’s time! MC is on stage!

9:58PM - So much for that, LOL. Stage is cleared but still no Britney but uh…they got Nelly Furtado playing on the speakers woohoo! l

*On a side note, I just wanna remind ya’ll at home that people at the concert have been standing since doors opened at 7PM. So that’s 3 hours of standing and Britney hasn’t even begun having her fun!

10:00PM - Booooooooooooooooooring……..

10:05PM - Neeeeevermind…….BOMT remixed., lol. All dancers are female and blonde and so hot! Slave is playing now.

10:07PM - Breathe On Me is on now. Uhm, she still has her dance thang down to the tee but without Leo….lol

10:08PM - Oh and she’s lipsynching…..sorry :-/

10:10PM - Do Something is on. She is wearing her music video outfit, with the white fur.

10:12PM - FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! Her dancers are so hot……all girls….I think she went homophobic! Kidding lol

10:12PM - Britney is having a lot of fun. I can see it in her eyes.

10:13PM - Toxic is on. The sound quality of this place is sooooo sweet .

10:15PM - Ok. She cleared the stage.

10:16PM - LoL. That was it….show is over. She didn’t say one word to the crowd.

Britney Spears took the stage late Tuesday at the House of Blues, making what is believed to be her first public concert appearance in nearly three years.

Starting the five-song set with her classic "Baby One More Time," Spears was back in top form. The boots-wearing one-time teen pop queen appeared onstage in a pink bra top and a short white skirt with her belly ring out.

The drama of the past few months appeared to be behind her.

I think it's kinda ironic that after all the drama she's been through and now being a mom of two (even though she sometimes seems to forget) she still lyp-synchs to that pedophile-anthem 'hit me baby'

Whatever, she could have said something besides a quick goodnight for all those people who waited all that time, esp. since she only did a 10 minute set. It's a small venue that invites intimacy with fans, she could've signed autographs or something. She just doesn't care.

On ONTD, other reports from people who were there said she wore white gogo boots, mini skirt and pink bra with a long brown wig with a wide headband to keep it in place (NO HAT!) They said she was careful not to move her head too much so it wouldn't fly off. Damn. Now that, I would have waited to see.

I saw the pictures on ONTD. She struck me as one of those people that high school was THE best time of their lives, and constantly trying to recapture that time of their life...you know, sad and pathetic.

Isn't it odd that Britney and a 12 year old fan of hers probably do basically the same thing. They both put on ridiculous costume cloths and then dance around and sing along to their favorite prerecorded Britney Spears songs. Only difference is the 12 year old girl does it in front of the mirror in her bedroom instead of at the House of Blues and will grown out of it before she's in her mid twenties.

It reminds me of those dance recitals we had to complete in high school in order to pass dance class. Where everyone dresses tarty, cause' the only time we could, and does dramatic pieces. Sad.

Sadly, I agree. There is something a bit (okay, alot) pathetic about this whole situation. Its like she is permanently stuck in 1999.

She will have a comeback. It will be huge. Then she'll crack up again. And this cycle will repeate for years and time will show how pathetic she is.

It really is sad. Its like she doesn't know how to function unless she's in the spotlight.

I wish she'd try something NEW. Her outfits at that show... so circa 1999.
