Tom Cruise's PR comes out swinging - "is Katie Holmes using Tom?"

Tom Cruise's people have come out swinging.
The new Life & Style magazine - May 7,2007 - has a story in which a "friend" of the couple says Tom is "starting to question whether Katie really loves him, or may be using him as a stepping-stone to fame."
One of her "friends" (?) says,
"It's bizarre to think that Katie could be so calculating."
Turn the page and the headline is,
"He's done so much to make Katie happy!"
- he's a doting dad
- she lives in luxury!
- he helped her get into fashion
- he gave her a dream wedding
- he caters toher every whim
- he put her name on the A-list

The article goes on to say that she only "laughed" when Tom supposedly asked her if she was using him for his fame. "He remains jittery," Katie's friend says. "He doesn't seem to know exactly who she is or what she wants."

I can totally see Tom thinking this, seeing as how he has not allowed her to work and when she does go to work he won't let her out of his sight.

Yeh he showed his hand too early. If he had been rational about things at the beginning we may have fallen for his game.

If these stories are to be believed, I'd say this marriage is just about kaput. It looks like Katie is finally coming to her senses now that the glitter is wearing off.

I can't imagine my mother-in-law as my shadow in my marriage. That right there would send me over the edge!

Tom's PR crew suck if they think this story will help his image - he is ruined. Katie would definatly have public support for walking away from this marriage provided that she takes Suri with her.
