Keith Richards' 91-year old mother, Doris Richards, passed away over the weekend, with her son by her side. Reuters reports:

Richards is the only child of Doris and Bert Richards, who split up in 1962. She bought her son his first guitar for his 15th birthday. He learned some chords from her father, Gus Dupree, a musician who instilled him with an early passion for music. In her later years, she raised her granddaughter Angela. She is also survived by three other grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Not to be flip, but whoah, Keith sure comes from some long-livin' people. I'm assuming they're part robot.

That photo of him is disgusting. Old guys shouldnt be prancing and playing rock at that age. He is so old he breaks his foot as he bends down to do a big riff. It looks so snapped. Any ordinary mortals foot would be. I gotta hang it on him. I dont care how great the rolling stones were or are. Some people just dont know when or how to stop. I can't help liking old Keef. He doesn't give a damn and has never sold out on his rock `n` roll lifestyle (that could be seen as never growing up, but hey.........). The guy's honest and as far as I know he hasn't been horrible to anyone or cheated on a wife (a la Jagger).

I read a really funny interview with him recently.
