Paula Abdul tries to be a diva, told she's no Sanjaya!
Abdul tries diva trip, but passengers just laugh
‘You're no Sanjaya,’ one fellow traveler reportedly shouted
Paula Abdul reportedly thought she should receive special treatment on a recent flight, but the other passengers were having none of that.

Paula Abdul is a sweetie on “American Idol” — but some folks claim she’s not so sweet when she’s an airline passenger.
Abdul was a diva during a recent flight, demanding — but not getting — special treatment, sources tell Star.
“She pulled a major diva trip,” one “eyewitness” told the tab. “The other passengers were not amused.”
The television show judge was booked on a sold-out Southwest Airlines flight from San Jose to Burbank, California, and reportedly demanded first-class treatment — even though there’s no first-class section on the airline. “She asked to be let on the plane and seated first,” an “eyewitness” told the Star. When Abdul was told that only young children, people with disabilities and the elderly were allowed to board early, she reportedly declared, “But I’m famous! I need to go on first!”
A number of fellow passengers heard the exchange, and one shouted at her: “You’re no Sanjaya! You have to board like everyone else.” That, according to the source, prompted a round of laughter from the others — except Abdul.
Once boarding began, Abdul pushed her way in front of the rest of the passengers so that she did get on first, and tried to keep the seat next to her empty, telling others it was taken. Finally, a flight attendant told her she had to give up the seat because the flight was full. Abdul kept her head bowed and reportedly was “twitchy” during much of the trip.
When contacted by The Scoop about the story, Abdul’s rep chose not to comment.

Um...I'm nobody, and even I won't fly SW. What with their cattle call boarding and shitty customer service - I will never fly them again. (One time is all it took.) Next time choose a carrier where you can fly first class.
Also, why would she choose to fly with them if it was so important to her to be treated well?

Paula Abdul is no Sanjaya
Abdul to Southwest: 'But I'm famous! I need to go on first!'
American Idol judge Paula Abdul is said to have created a stir among Southwest passengers at San Jose when she demanded first-class treatment, according to Star magazine and a variety of entertainment media accounts. Abdul is said to have asked gate staff to be allowed on the plane and seated first, according to "eyewitnesses" at the scene. After Abdul was told by workers that only children, elderly and people with disabilities could pre-board, she reportedly said: "But I'm famous! I need to go on first!"
MSNBC gossip columnist Jeannette Walls writes that "a number of fellow passengers heard the exchange, and one shouted at her: 'You're no Sanjaya! You have to board like everyone else.' That, according to the source, prompted a round of laughter from the others — except Abdul." Apparently undeterred, reports say Abdul pushed her way past other passengers and did get on the San Jose-to-Burbank flight first. Then, she reportedly tried to keep the seat next to her empty, the Voice of America reports. It was a full flight, however, and she ultimately had to give up the seat.

Why was she traveling coach? Southwest's planes have virtually no business or first class. One would think she would be traveling first-class with her status and money.

I thought the whole charm of Southwest was that the entire plane was coach. But then I haven't flown Southwest in a while.

I'm definitely not charmed by Southwest lol. And I'm guessing that the only reason security wasn't called is because of here celebrity. Anybody else pulling what she did would have been detained.

So to become famous, you dance with a cartoon cat and become a proffessional fence sitter. I could do that.
What a peanut!
...silly drunks make me laugh
