110k for 12 hours in Paris - well it was Posh's birthday | the Daily Mail

If you are David Beckham and you want to give your wife a romantic birthday, a whirlwind trip to Paris is the only option.

To celebrate her turning 33, Victoria was whisked to the French capital for a 12-hour trip which cost 110,000.
They left their sons Brooklyn, eight, Romeo, four, and two-year-old Cruz with Beckham's mother Sandra.

Time to shop: David and Victoria hit the trendy Paris stores including Alaia and Colette

A girl can never have too many shoes

    ...Or too much jewellery

After arriving in Paris at about 4pm yesterday, the pair went shopping, looking at jewellery, cameras and - obviously - clothes.
They reportedly spent 70,000 at several shops in the trendy Marais district.
Beckham, 31, had spent weeks organising private sessions at the showrooms of designers including Christian Louboutin, where Posh snapped up a pair of made-to-measure heels for 1,500.
He then took her to one of her favourites, Azzedine Alaia to select a 7,000 dress.
Their suite at the Ritz, and hiring the renowned Guy Savoy restaurant so they could dine alone would have set Beckham back another 15,000. The Real Madrid star sprang the surprise trip after a training session with the Spanish club. Scroll down for more...
To celebrate Victoria's 33rd birthday, the couple dined at restaurant Guy Savoy. They ate from the 'Prestige Menu'

Victoria and David leaving the Ritz Hotel to go to the Bourget Airport very early in the morning

Victoria had only been expecting lunch in Madrid, but instead he drove her to the airport where he had spent 25,000 on a private jet.
A source said: "Victoria was overwhelmed. She thought she was going to have a Chinese meal with David and the boys." After dinner the couple retired to their suite at 1am - but they were back at Paris's Bourget airport at 4am for the flight back to Madrid.

*sigh* I am kinda jealous. I usually just get flowers, a book, and candy every year. And no babysitters for us. I know I am VERY lucky to have my husband and children but, damn, I can't even begin to imagine Posh's life.

Aw, never mind. I'm sure you look happier than Posh does on your big day!

Doesn't he always do this for her birthday. Plus, when you're as rich as they are she could do this type of thing everyday. It seems more of a publicity thing than any real show of affection. A romantic dinner at home would have showed me that he loved her more than this stupid display of wealth.
