Default Kate Middleton 'appalled' by smear campaign against mother

Kate 'appalled' by sneer campaign against mother

Kate Middleton is "appalled" by the vicious attacks against her mother in the wake of her split from Prince William.

Close sources say she blames snobbish courtiers and some of William's "grand" circle of friends for the unfair whispering campaign against Carole Middleton.

She believes royal aides have been briefing against her and her family. A well-placed source told the Evening Standard: "Kate will stay silent as agreed and she will. United: Carole Middleton is standing by her daughter Kate after split

"But it is fair to say she is appalled and upset at some of the awful things being levelled at her family and particularly her mother.

"She is not a broken woman, far from it, and nor for that matter is her mother. The Middletons are a close family. The comments about Carole, attributed to people close to the royal family say more about them than Kate and her family," the source said.

Kate was apparently particularly upset by "crass" remarks about her mother's chewing gum at William's passing out ceremony at Sandhurst.
And she was also, according to those in her circle, irritated by ridiculous assertions that Carole let herself down by saying "Pleased to meet you" instead of "How do you do" when being introduced to the royals.

"The whole thing is so awful. Carole is just looking out for her daughter. She will laugh off all this nonsense portraying her as some kind of social misfit."

Kate, who received a telephone call from William showing support over the weekend, has read a number of newspaper reports about the break-up.

Some sources insist that Carole Middleton, a middle-class businesswoman and former air stewardess, is "distraught" over William and Kate's decision to split. But others say that both her parents are simply concerned for their daughter.

Michael Middleton, Kate's father, is said to be particularly concerned about press attention. Army officer Prince William, back on his troop commander's course with the Blues and Royals at Bovington, Dorset, is known to be grateful for Kate's discretion.

He wants to remain friends and it is understood he has been in touch by phone over the weekend.

Although Kate insists she is fine, she has been given indefinite compassionate leave from her job as an assistant accessories buyer in the junior division of high street fashion store, Jigsaw - a job she got through its owners, family friends John and Belle Robinson.
She is currently staying at her family home in Berkshire but friends say she may take a short holiday to escape the press attention.

If William wishes to rely on her discretion, it might be nice if he told his friends to STFU about her mum then.....

It might be nicer if Britain could rid itself of that antiquated, self-important, tax grubbing monarchy, too.

Why are you bothered? Its not your taxes, you live in a republic... & they are mostly self-supporting.... (& now pay taxes themselves).

Well you would be wouldn't you? Going from being a future mother-in-law to a future king to no piece of the pie!

Really, it's the least he could do, especially if he truly values any type of friendship with Kate. She and her family are proving themselves to be more high class than the asses who are slamming them.

exactly. the royals are showing some shitty low class colors if they are smearing this family. So the woman said "pleased to meet you"? What a fucking animal! you gotta be shitting me. Kate should thank her lucky stars that she's been shown the truth of these people before she married the pussifed prince.

The quote was that it was his wanker-ish friends "Close sources say she blames snobbish courtiers and some of William's "grand" circle of friends for the unfair whispering campaign against Carole Middleton." which was why I suggested that he put a stop to it.

They're SUCH wankers! They have such chips on their shoulders & even the stuff that's said about Paris Hilton being self-centred & rude to her "fans"? That would be polite for some of these tossers!
