Justin Timberlake: 'I love Cameron Diaz, I'm far removed from Britney Spears'

Timberlake, known for being mum about his personal life, makes it clear that he'd never speak badly about Diaz – and wouldn't tolerate anyone else doing it either.

"If I hear anyone say anything bad about Cameron then I'll have something to say to them," he tells the magazine in its May issue.

When it comes to the subject of his other ex, Britney Spears, Timberlake tells the magazine, "Honestly, I am so far removed from that situation."

Timberlake's best friend, Trace Ayala, seconds that, saying, "She just isn't part of his life."

As for the rumor that Timberlake sent a veiled message to Spears while accepting a Brit Award for best international male solo artist in February, the singer is mystified.

At the awards ceremony Timberlake told the crowd, "Stop drinking! You know who you are. I'm speaking to you. You are going to get sloppy," which some tabloids guessed was a reference to Spears, who entered rehab later that month.

Timberlake says he "didn't know anything" about the rumor and shakes his head in disbelief, asking, "A coded message to Britney?"

He clearly has other things to think about: He's midway through his FutureSex/LoveShow tour, which wraps up in China in September, and stars in Black Snake Moan with Christina Ricci and Samuel L. Jackson, currently in theaters.

I don't think much of his 'talent' but he strikes me as a pretty standup guy. Why can't more people gracefully deal with relationships, past and present, like this?

im not a fan of Justin, I always thought he was a little wimp... but what he said about Cam is very nice, it actually makes me think he's kinda sweet (oh no)

^^I get the 'oh no' reaction--he is not my type of singer or man. But, like I said, I'm thrilled to bits to hear that someone can act with discretion and respect about former flames.

Oh come on Buttmunch, (love your name and your avator by the way, it cracks me up everytime I see your posts) come out and admit your in love with Justin Timberlake since his NSYNC days, if you do I will confess my undying love for him as well!! (be brave no one will judge us) lol

maybe he's matured a little ... he's still the same guy that went on Babwa Wawa's and snitched about getting the snatch from Britney. Maybe it just depends on what terms the relationship ends as to whether or not he'll bad mouth the ex... Justin and I have that in common!

Despite my many embarrassing loves and/or crushes on inappropriate celebrities, this is one I can thankfully say I've never gone for. I honestly wouldn't be able to name a single song by NSYNC or any other boy band, for that matter. I'm too, ahem, mature to have gotten into them. And thanks on the butt compliments. It's a choice piece of rump.

Did he really do that? That's kind of gross but I guess he was younger and probably dumber. And yeah, why do people feel the need to bad-mouth an ex? Even if it was a bad breakup (meaning one wanted it and the other didn't) unless they beat you or similar I say take the high road. It's kind of like wanting to get back with someone who doesn't want you, doing something rotten to them and still wondering why they won't take you back. Hmmm...I'm getting off track.

I'd say that was because at the time, Britney was telling everyone she was a virgin. Its not like anyone believed her, we didn't really need to hear iit from Justin because we weren't stupid, but he felt the need to confirm that she was a liar.

He is such an ugly guy. I don't get how he can be considered sexy. But I do love What comes around and Sexy Back, both of which I work out to. Really good songs.

^^Agreed Picara. He is NOT attractive, at least not in my book.

And I don't like his music either. Not a fan, can you tell??

But, at least he isn't out there slamming people....guess I'll give him that.
