It looks like Britney Spears sparked up another romance while in rehab – this time with musician Howie Day.

The newly detoxed Spears met Day while at Promises, and according to Life & Style (via MSNBC), "fell hard" for the troubled singer-songwriter while in the facility, so hard that she's bringing him to a family wedding in June. Britney "just lights up" when she talks about Day and apparently thinks he's "the best kisser ever."

Still, Mama Lynne Spears isn't so stoked about Brit's new paramour because of his troubled past – he's been arrested -- once for locking a fan in his tour bus bathroom and another time for verbally abusing a flight crew while he was drunk.

Britney Spears Allegedly Dating Howie Day

Britney Spears has fallen for another musical bad boy and is now dating singer/songwriter Howie Day after meeting him in rehab. Spears is planning to go public with her latest romance this summer when she takes Day, who is still in rehab, to her cousin Erin's wedding.
The couple met at Malibu, California's Promises rehab facility during Spears' recent month-long stay.
The pop star has told close pals that she's smitten with her new beau, who hit the headlines following recent arrests on charges of disorderly conduct and allegedly verbally abusing a flight crew, while under the influence.
One Spears confidante tells Life & Style magazine, "Britney just lights up... when she talks to Howie or tells people about him. She thinks he's very talented and says he's the best kisser."
The couple was photographed playing tennis together at Promises on March 15, and Spears has been texting love notes to Day since she left the facility at the end of last month.
The pals reveals, "They formed a special bond. They were in group therapy together and Brit found his experiences fascinating.
"They would talk in their free time and try to have lunch together twice a week."
The couple plans to reunite when Day is released from Promises later this month.

As much as I love Howie, he does not have a reputation for being nice to the ladies he's involved with.
Not to mention, rehab is not exactly the ideal place to meet a potential mate.

Oh well, probably won't last long anyway.
Although they could form a somewhat lasting relationship as drug/fuck buddies. We will see.

^^^I think Brit has lost the appeal to attract anyone who isn't an addict, a psycho, a mooch, or a loser. Crazy, stupid, drug addicted, alcoholic, skanky, unfit mother attention whores are not as popular as they used to be.

She pawned her kids off on K-Fed so she's probably super excited right now. Rehab got her out of being a decent mom and now she's got a new mayun to leach onto and obsess over. She can pretend like she's totally a teenager again with a new boyfriend instead of a twice divorced trailer trash junkie with two kids.

Will she go pyscho again once this loser dumps her?

I thought she was mad at Kevin because he promised her that they'd get back together if she goes through rehab. This sounds fishy, I bet his publicist put this item out.

I hope this isn't true, but it may well be. He sounds like another loser punk who made it semi-big and has become an incorrigible brat who needs to be handcuffed and duct-taped. He's nothing all that special to look at either.
