Mandy Moore Breaks a Leg after Nickelodeon award show

Mandy Moore may have looked brighter than sunshine at the Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday but things took a turn for the worse shortly thereafter.

Mandy, 22, limped around painfully and unaided on Sunday at LAX airport. Probably just a sprained ankle but hobbling around in one of those ginormous orthopedic boots make it seem so much worse!

i was in one of those stupid boot things for a few months...mine was for a possible stress fracture (which it wasnt, turned out it was arthritis at friggin 18) but those boots are pretty tough...its so you cant really move your foot/ankle at all, to keep it in place. She could have broken something and opted for the walking cast instead of a regular cast.

idk, she could have a cast on under her pant leg. My mom wore a cast for a year when I was younger and she had one of those boots over it so she could walk on it.

Mandy Moore Fractures Her Ankle

Mandy Moore fractured her ankle jumping off a boat for a Self magazine photo shoot, a rep for the actress tells PEOPLE.

"It happened at the end of February in Mexico," her rep says. "It was for one of the setups for the spread where she had to jump into the water."

Moore, 22, who has been sporting a walking cast on her right leg for the past few weeks, graces the cover of Self's June issue.

It has certainly been an eventful few months for the starlet who told PEOPLE recently that she expected 2007 to be "a year of change." Her latest movie, Because I Said So, hit theaters, her new album Wild Hope debuts May 8 – and just last month she ended her romance with DJ AM.

"I've been going through this really crazy time in my life," Moore told Jane in February.

Life got even crazier for the actress on Saturday when she was covered in slime at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards.
