What a baby. He was decapitated in the show and the spread that featured the dead folks had them all portrayed as they died. I think when they did his nose job they took part of his brain.
Pantoliano Upset About Headless Photo
By WENN | Tuesday, March 27, 2007
HOLLYWOOD - Actor Joe Pantoliano is upset about a new Vanity Fair photo spread, which features his late Sopranos character decapitated.
The actor's character, Ralph Cifaretto, lost his head on the show and now his headless image has been included in April's Vanity Fair--to promote the final season of the Mob series.
But it isn't Pantoliano in the shot--he refused to take part in the spread and a body double was drafted in for the Annie Liebovitz shoot.
And now the actor is angry because the photo has disturbed his three young daughters.
Pantoliano, aka Joey Pants, has fired off a furious letter to The Sopranos creator David Chase expressing his frustration and disappointment, and claiming his character's inclusion in the Vanity Fair group photo is in poor taste.
In the letter he states his decapitated likeness is "despicable" and "diabolical," adding Chase created the image without his permission.
Pantoliano was the only 'deceased' Sopranos star who turned down the chance to appear in the Vanity Fair shoot--former fan favorites Drea De Matteo and Vincent Pastore agreed to reprise their characters for the Vanity Fair spread.

jerk.
great article btw way; i read it all at once in my bathtub![]()
I bet they didn't offer him the amount of money he wanted to do it, so he refused, then they used a body double and now he's pissed he missed out on some $$$$.
How silly. Some people always have something to complain about.
I ran home with my VF and devoured the whole thing. Cannot wait to see the final 9. Woohooo!great article btw way; i read it all at once in my bathtub
Nah, they don't pay for photo shoots like this at VF. It's done for the publicity and I suppose since he was killed off a few seasons ago, he wouldn't get much out of it, PR wise. What a douche.I bet they didn't offer him the amount of money he wanted to do it, so he refused, then they used a body double and now he's pissed he missed out on some $$$$.

He's a complete jerk according to anybody who's ever worked with him.
Was he upset when he was creating one of the most violent shows in history? How many children watched acts of violence that disturbed them on the show hewwas on. Whiny Hollywood asswipe.
His career has been stalled since leaving the sopranos!!! He should have posed!!!! And I why the hell did he show it to his kids!!!
Unless the parents weren't minding the store, as it were, hopefully not many kids saw it. I don't subscribe to the idea that all television, movies, art in general should be acceptable viewing for children. Sopranos is about much more than violence. In fact, after having watched it 15 million times, I'd say the violence is little more than a sidebar to what is really a story of great scope. Was he upset when he was creating one of the most violent shows in history? How many children watched acts of violence that disturbed them on the show hewwas on. Whiny Hollywood asswipe.
