Did Clooney leak the 'Huckabees' videos?

Categories: Celebrity Feuds, Film
This morning, Radar "The Internet Never Folds" Online's Jeff Bercovici presents a very interesting theory on those leaked I [Heart] Huckabees outtakes featuring Lily Tomlin and director David O. Russell arguing and using the kind of language that strips paint from the walls and makes the baby Jesus cry. Bercovici's question: Did George Clooney put 'em on YouTube?
As evidence, Bercovici points to a piece Radar wrote last fall naming Russell the guy "Most Likely to Make an Actor Cry", and citing a fistfight the director had with Clooney during the shoot of Three Kings (pictured). In the same piece, they mention the then-mythological Huckabees vids. Also noted: Clooney's current project, Leatherheads, shares a sound mixer with Good Night and Good Luck, Three Kings... and Huckabees.
WHOA. DID I JUST BLOW YOUR MIND?
Yeah. It's probably not true, right? This is just one of those silly rumors, right? I mean, while any claims that Clooney "barely knows how to email" are patently preposterous, this seems entirely too mean-spirited for George... right? On the other hand, since Tomlin herself has said the outtakes are no big deal, would it matter if Clooney were behind the leak?

I personally think George way too classy to be involved in something like this, but its an interesting theory, no?

Aren't there like fifteen thousand extras around? Why would my Georgey do a thing like that? Besides, it was well deserved.

Yes, it was. I'm on Lily's side on this one. She's a class act with amazing talent. I wouldn't blame George for doing it, but I doubt he had to. I'm sure there are plenty of employees who would have loved to do this, and are secretly applauding it.

I'm definitely on Lily's side. I'm glad George beat that bastard's ass.

I don't think Lily losing control like that is a sign of a true professional. A good friend of mine is an actress and she says a lot of actors are horrified by her behavior, too. It takes two to tango.

I see your point, but George decking him isn't professional either. And he didn't get dissed for it.
It's the same old bullshit: when a woman pushes back she's a horrifying, unforgivable bitch.
When a guy pushes back he's a big, admirable manly-man.

I love it when they say some celebrity 'barely knows how to email' 'doesn't know how to use a computer'. Oh because they're just so busy and all.

Great point! Anyway, Lily rocks and she kind of cracked me up on the video. She was totally pissed, but she didn't really even raise her voice, much less get physical, so what was the big deal? It was the director who lost his shit and made an ass of himself.

Also, the other version of the story says that Russell was 'getting physical' with the extra he was verbally abusing when George stepped in and kicked his ass, so no, I don't blame George for punching the dude out, neither do I blame Lily for defending herself. That Russell character is obviously out of control.

Well, Lily didn't cry, or scream, just be as sarcastic as only she can be. The director did the screaming and tantruming, Lily didn't budge, she just stood up and remained unafraid, while everybody else ran off. Except for the dude sitting "in front" of her desk, who became camoflauged. A good thing to be able to do...LOLOL
Lily Rocks for me always.....................but she kept pushing him and pushing him and finally he got mad. Hard to figure if she was sincere, or if she just wanted to royally push him over the edge, for whatever reason.

Clooney issues denial to Web sites
LOS ANGELES - George Clooney personally responded Thursday to rumors circulated by two gossip Web sites.
The Oscar winner sent a note to Radaronline.com and Defamer.com. Both sites hinted this week that Clooney was responsible for releasing outtakes from the movie "I (Heart) Huckabees" that show director David O. Russell yelling at actress Lily Tomlin.
The sites noted that Clooney, who had a well-publicized fight with Russell on the set of the film "Three Kings," is currently working with sound mixer Ed Tise, who also worked on "Huckabees."
Neither had a role in the clip's release, Clooney said.
"Contrary to popular opinion, neither the sound man, Ed Tise, nor yours truly sent in the David O. Russell tape," Clooney wrote in the note released by his publicist, Stan Rosenfield. "I saw it when we were working on `Ocean's 12,' and there have been quite a few copies traveling around town for the last couple of years. Any rumor that either of us put it on the Internet is simply false. And I'd offer a million bucks to anyone who would prove otherwise."

And probably another million to whoever did it.
