12/11/05 : TYSON FACES ASSAULT TRIAL
Boxing legend MIKE TYSON was yesterday (11NOV05) ordered by a Brazilian judge to return to the country next March (06) to stand trial for allegedly assaulting a cameraman.
CARLOS EDUARDO DA SILVA, who works for the Brazilian television network SBT, has accused Tyson of breaking his camera and hitting him over the head with camera equipment in a Sao Paulo nightclub on Thursday (10NOV05) night.
Tyson admits to breaking the camera to destroy the tape, as he didn't want to be filmed, but he denies assaulting the cameraman.
If found guilty, the former heavyweight champion will be fined or sentenced to community service in Brazil.
