Was Lindsay Lohan driving drunk?

Lindsay Lohan tried to hide her freckled face in New York last night -- but when a photog suggested she was driving drunk -- she shot him with the raygun stare of death!

TMZ cameras spotted the rehabbed and peroxidated Lohan outside Butter last night, where one of her friends did her best to keep Linds covered with a coat, but LiLo didn't seem to mind the attention and quickly ditched the feeble disguise.

One photog then began shouting at Lindsay, "I hope she's not driving! Yo, why you driving drunk?" That's when La Lohan, carrying a bottle of water, gave him a look that is usually reserved for turning men to stone. She then hopped in the car and sped off -- but not before nearly causing an accident.

I just watched this fiasco on Access Hollywood. Granted, the photog that Lindsay hit and all of the other paps seemed to be laying it on a bit thick, but she did hit him and leave the scene. Racing away and going down one way streets the wrong way. If one of us were to pull this kind of bullshit, like Paris, Lindsay and Britney, we would be arrested on the spot. It's not up to Lindsay to assess the situation with the photographer, it's up to the police.

I can't stand her and don't condone it and don't think she is staying sober, but the way the paps hover around celebs' cars, I'm surprised it doesn't happen more.

Well isn't that two illegal acts? Hit & Run and driving without due care & attention - even if she was sober / drunk....

I don't understand why the police doesn't just wait infront of Hyde or any other of those celeb shitholes and pull them all over, one after the other.

They are all driving under the influence of whatever and none of them ever gets into trouble because of it.

Besides, alcohol is the least of her problems.

I saw that too. He was hamming it up. Still if I had hit someone with my car, I'd at least go over to check it out. She looked like she couldn't care less. And here I thought she loved the papparazzi!
