Victoria Beckham's first LA interview

AS she turned heads at her first ever round of Oscar parties, Victoria Beckham looked every inch as if she was made for Hollywood.
She shone with confidence as she was welcomed into the showbusiness elite by the world's biggest stars - including Madonna, Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, John Travolta, Eva Longoria and Daniel Craig. But behind her smiles Posh was nervous about meeting all her new Tinseltown neighbours.
And opening her heart in her first big interview since hubby David's £128million LA Galaxy transfer deal, Victoria tells the Mirror how she is:

STRUGGLING with LA's demand for 24-hour-a-day glamour and has even been ticked off over clothes.
TEXTING pictures of multimillion dollar mansions to David in Spain so they can find a home.
BEFRIENDING Hollywood's hottest stars over their latest passion - games of dominoes.
Posh and Becks and their three sons will move to California in the summer when he begins his £1million-a-week job.
And despite his whopping pay packet Victoria can still be awed by Tinseltown.
She says: "I was at a party the other day when Tom Hanks came bounding over.
"He said, 'I'm so thrilled you and David are coming over. I'm going to get a season ticket to watch LA Galaxy now'.
"All the time he was talking I was just thinking, 'It's Forrest Gump! And he knows who I am!' "
She adds: "I don't know if I'll ever get used to that when we move here. I don't get out much, really. I'm usually with David and the boys."
So there is little chance she will be falling out of nightclubs with Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton.
Her pals are mature couples such as Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes (see our picture galelry below) and Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony.
And she treasures cosy nights in with David and Brooklyn, seven, Romeo, four, and Cruz, two.
HER evenings with the Hollywood elite would make a tea dance in Skegness look raucous.
At the lavish CAA pre-Oscars party, Penelope Cruz was overheard asking Victoria if she'd been practising dominoes after a late-night session at Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher's house.
One spy at the party reveals: "They all had a really lovely dinner and afterwards Penelope whipped a dominoes set from her handbag.
"They played for ages. It's all the rage in LA at the moment."
Victoria laughs and throws back her head. She says: "Penelope's such a sweetie, a real girls' girl.
"And Ashton and Demi are always touching and kissing like teenagers. David and I are quite tactile so it's lovely to see it with other people. They're genuinely smitten with each other. David and I have a few very good friends who are celebrities. But we don't go out that much.
"It's fun now and then to go out for dinner, but am I going to start going to clubs with Britney Spears every night? Possibly not.
"I have three children, I work hard and when I'm not working I'm at home with the kids."
Posh wowed guests at Elton John's Oscars party in a stunning white Azzedine Alaia dress, which David bought her, and £1million of diamonds. But she also used her visit to look for a suitable home.
SHE says: "David is still in Spain playing for Real Madrid so I have to text him pictures of all the houses.
"I know his taste really well but I still need back up. Some places look amazing outside but then the decor leaves a lot to be desired. It has to be private and close enough to David's training ground.
"And there has to be lots of space for the boys. They will probably get the final say."
Posh, 32, who has a £7.5million deal to design her own collection of shoes and handbags, also reveals she has to work hard to stay a fashion icon.
She has been ticked off by design guru Tom Ford, who made his name at Gucci.
Victoria reveals: "When I get on a plane the first thing I do is put on old pyjamas.
"But the other day I was on a flight sitting next to Tom Ford.
"I told him that I was going to take all my glam gear off and he said, 'You shouldn't'. I thought he was joking and was getting ready to change when he said, 'No, you really shouldn't'.
"I was so intimidated I had to sit on this 11-hour flight in tight, uncomfortable clothes."
Victoria's sunglasses range launches in the US in March, followed by her denim collection in May - in the wake of the recent release of the Beckhams' his-n-hers fragrances. So Victoria insists she has little time for a leisurely browse through LA's super-sleek shops.
"I like to shop, but not as much as people think," she insists.
"I am in a fortunate position where I get lots of clothes from designers. Most of the time you'll catch me at home.
"The children aren't spoiled. We live a relatively simple life at home."
So, despite counting some of the most famous people in the world as her friends, Victoria's feet remain firmly on the ground.
There are huge billboards around LA announcing David's arrival. But she says: "I am the first to admit, maybe people really know who we are in America, maybe they don't. We are realistic about it.
"We are here for a reason - to do the best we can."

I think it is funny that she all dressed up in the airport for the photographers then pup pjs on when on the plane. good idea really

I can't help it, I like her.
I am envious of her lifestyle and I think it makes it better that she still keeps things in check.

(Everone gathers around excitedly, expecting her to pull out a crack rock or party-favor sized bags of cocaine. Much to their horror, Penelope whips out a set of dominoes with an ecstatic expression on her face)

Penelope: "DOMINOES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOT!!!"

Everyone else: "Umm.. yeah... that sounds..... fun."

Posh: "Ooh. Let me call in the boys, they'll love this! Boys!!! Shit, Cruz, don't get so close to the strobe light!!"

Well I guess because he is a fashion Gd and people still respect his talent and his work at Gucci and YSL. so, since she loves fashion, she probably didnt wanna embarass herself-here a top designer and icon is telling her not to wear PJS (where the hell would she change anywayz???), so she was like ooook.

I was reading in our UK press that David is really pissed off that the kids are being put in front of the camera so much by Victoria. One of the boys (I forget which one) was getting quite upset by it all.

One of the boy's epileptic fits can be brought on by the flashbulbs.

But I guess Vicky's quest for stardom in LA is far more important than that.....

LOL!!! Did you see Grazia? David won't make any decision, is pondering his momentus decision to leave european football (because lets face it this is his professional footie playing career over - no team in Europe will want him when his contract is over at 37), Vicky's upset about the media coverage (do they even know who we are??? LOL!!!!) & also by the "reception" they're getting as she's be critizised for her clothes choices in (very) laidback LA - even brain-washed Katie has been advising her to wear jeans & a t-shirt...
