Jessica Simpson, 25, and Nick Lachey, 31, appear to be trying to make the most of their marriage — and they may be hoping a new home in a neighborhood brimming with like-minded young celebs may do the trick!

The couple were spotted cruising around L.A.'s West Hollywood Hills area on Nov. 7 in Nick's black BMW X5 checking out the area's open houses. "Fixer-upper" homes in the neighborhood — which is home to stars such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Keanu Reeves and Lindsay Lohan — start at $1.5 million.

The couple perused six-bedroom homes in gated Beverly Hills communities like Mulholland Estates last summer, but a source tells Star that Jessica "turned her nose up" at the less-than-hip area.

West Hollywood Hills, it seems, is more Jessica's speed. "This seems like Nick compromising," a friend tells Star. "He would understand if Jessica is not ready for children yet. Without children, who would want to be a Beverly Hills wife with a 10,000 square foot center colonial on a cul-de-sac? The West Hollywood Hills where they were looking at homes is where a lot of young, Hollywood couples live. It is called compromise. Every married couple does it."

The neighborhood is also close to Jessica's favorite shops and restaurants like Kitson and The Ivy, and will also cut the commute time from Calabasas from an hour to 5 minutes.
