TMZ has learned that Kevin Federline has asked a judge for an emergency hearing on Thursday to discuss his custody dispute with estranged wife Britney Spears.
A court spokesperson says only K-Fed and his attorney are scheduled to appear before the judge, but adds "anything is possible."
Federline filed papers in November seeking spousal support and sole custody of the couple's children- 5-month-old Jayden James and 17-month-old Sean Preston. As TMZ previously reported, a temporary court order granted the couple joint custody, with Spears having primary physical custody of the boys.
Now, with Spears' recent erratic behavior, coupled with the fact that she's been in and out of rehab twice in the last week, all bets may be off

I'm doubtful of Kfed's parenting skills but this may be a good timing for him to pursue custody.
Again refering back to EXTRA I was watching earlier, they interviewed Judge Millan and Judge Mathis if they'd grant custody of kids to Brit and they both said she seems unfit right now.

K-fed is pathetic, but maybe this is the best thing.. Wasn't he seen partying all over before and after they broke up? But I guess he doesn't seem to be losing his mind. I blame him for being an asshole, though.

i never really liked him when he was with Britney, but i may be changing my mind a little. If i thought either of them would have gone off the deep end after the divorce, it would have been kevin. He lost way more than she did... a famous wife, wealth, superstar lifestyle, etc. Instead of turning to drugs and out of control behavior, he poked a little fun at himself in that Super Bowl ad, and tried to continue on with his life. She only seems to think of herself. I have no sympathy for any woman who thinks partying with skanks, drinking, and drugging are more important than her children. Kevin may not be perfect, but he seems like the better parent at this point. I'm not convinced the children would even be safe with Britney.

Nice strategic move on his part.
Britney must be a moron of the first order. When they split, everyone thought it'd be a cold day in hell before Federtard was ever granted custody of any kind. She's singlehandedly handed him his whole case.

I'm am soooo tired of the Britney circus. Enough already! I'd like to see anyone *anyone* else put under the same scrutiny as she's been under for the past two years and see how well they hold up. I personally would have lost it within the first few weeks. She can't even go into her own backyard without being spied on, having photos taken, comments made, etc.
She's not even entitled to the same mistakes as us mere mortals. Every little thing she does is analyzed, picked apart and then all the bad things about it are amplified and she's crucified. She shaved her head! OMG she must be suicidal for that to happen! She didn't wear shoes! OMG she must be on drugs. She didn't wear panties! OMG she must be a horrible neglectful mother!
The media, and us gossip-mongers, bear quite a bit of responsibility here. Not only for keeping it in the news, but for subjecting her to this type of malicious spotlight just to feed our gossipy appetites. Yes, she is famous. Yes, she did want to be famous - but is this really fame? Or is it just legalized stalking and slander?
As for what's up with Britney - The people truly in the 'know', the ones that really care about her won't be making press statements, or dropping tidbits for magazine fodder. What we see in the headlines isn't necessarily the truth even if it seems like it could be. Personally I'd rather give her the benefit of the doubt. It's not easy living in a fishbowl, going through a divorce, custody battle and staging a comeback - let alone all of those at the same time.
As for K-Fed - no doubts he's out partying hearty (there have been photos!) yet no stalkerazzi trailing his every move, pointing out his every misstep. When it comes to custody the whole picture should be looked at - who raised those babies during their marriage? Who still ensures their primary care (shockingly enough other mothers do leave the house and have social lives while their children are young)? Who is asking for a hefty price tag to drop the custody suit (that says it all for me there)?

Maybe one of the reasons Britney is in such a mess is because of what Kevin did to her. Played with her mind -- what there is of it -- cheated on her, and remember, she cranked out two kids very quickly. That's quite an emotional toll. It doesn't seem fair to blame her entirely for what happened and paint him as some sort of savior for those kids. He WON'T be the one taking care of them, that's for sure. I think he is more despicable than her because he played her all along and knew damn well the kids would be his life-long meal ticket.
I wouldn't be feeling too sorry for him.

ITS ABOUT DAMN TIME. Those kids need to be as far away from Britney as possible right now, while she's exploring new ways to have a mental breakdown.
Really you guys, if we think about it, what do we know about Kevin Federline (besides him being an obnoxious wannabe rapper) that means he is a terrible father? I've met the guy in person and he's totally different than one would think. I mean, yes he's got the whole wannabe-rapper costume. But I found him really mellow and respectful and (at the time) madly, crazily in love with Britney. He was over the moon excited about them expecting their first child.
And we haven't seen any photos or tales of him doing anything horrible or even on par with what Britney's been up to lately.
Give him the kids. They'll be better off.

Well, Twitney isn't exactly coming off as Mother of the Year either. If that other article about the nannies was true, she doesn't seem to look after the kids when she is there. What mother has a child SP's age and doesn't know yet how to care for him? And we can't really bash K-Fug for going out and leaving the kiddies with a nanny when she's doing the exact same thing.
And regarding the comment about how mothers do go out ... sure they do. But they aren't out partying 24/7, puking all over everything and making a spectacle of themselves, and running in and out of rehab. There's a difference, eh?
Not that I am on K-Fug's side. I'm just sayin'. You know?

Temporary joint custody? WTF? They already HAVE that. Anyone who goes through a divorce does. She probably also had residential custody so that is what they are most likely granting KFed. Which makes more sense even though Brit Brit would have rather her mother had them. But what if she gets out of rehab again? I wouldn't want those kids to see the mess their mother is in.
I mean really. What has Kfed shown that he is not responsible enough to look after them? Leaving them with her for days on end isn't enough evidence imo not to let him have them for a little while. Let him! Especially without a nanny. Let him know what it is truely like to take care of his own children physically. Most dads, if you truely look at it, are not around a lot either. Now with that said, I can't believe I feel the kids would do better with Kfed!!!
