Leonardo DiCaprio to take on the Enron scandal in new film role

LEONARDO DiCAPRIO is set to star in a feature film chronicling the corruption and subsequent collapse of US corporation Enron. The film will be based on the book CONSPIRACY OF FOOLS by New York Times reporter KURT EICHENWALD. THE DEPARTED star will play a newcomer to the Houston, Texas-based energy corporation who slowly uncovers the corruption that drove Enron into bankruptcy in 2001. The scandal was previously chronicled in the 2005 documentary ENRON: THE SMARTEST GUYS IN THE ROOM. THE LONGEST YARD screenwriter SHELDON TURNER, who is writing the script, says, "Kurt made the factual stuff read like a thriller, and it felt right to tell the story from the point of view of an outsider."

Yea this one sounds exciting! Not exactly the most exciting sounding of subject matters but knowing leo and his crew, they'll pump some juice into it! Make it all creepy and stuff.

I love Leo too. He always chooses his roles very well. I'm always impressed with his interviews and like how he doesn't let himself become too over-exposed. He kind of 'swoops' in, does his thing, creates a lof of interest, disappears for awhile only to come back and do it again.
