Default Kevin Federline sorry for Super Bowl ad

Quote:
Britney Spears' estranged husband Kevin Federline has issued an apology to anyone who is offended by his upcoming Super Bowl ad where he stars as a fast-food worker.

Federline was slammed by members of the Us National Restaurant Association last month (Jan07), who claimed the ad was insulting to fast-food workers.

The 28-year-old insists he never meant to disparage anyone explaining, "The commercial is completely intended for me, making fun of myself and my own situation. It has nothing to do with anybody in the fast-food industry at all. So, you know, if we've offended anybody, I'm really sorry about that."

Federline appears in a 30-second spot for Nationwide Mutual Insurance where he is daydreaming about being a rap star while cooking french fries at a fast-food restaurant.

He adds, "It's a Saturday Night Live skit on myself. Maybe it'll land me some good roles in Hollywood!"

People should get a life. The ad was funny, period.

Yes, that ad was funny, and I'm not sure how it was supposed to be insulting to fast food workers. Plus, the fact that K-fed can laugh at himself is a a nice touch. This is one time I don't get the outrage.

I actually didn't hate the commercial, and found it semi humerous.

Now all those PhD'ers who were aspiring to a career of nuking hamburgers for no money will be reassessing their job goals. Shame on you, K-Fug!

I dislike the man completely, but give him kudos for taking the piss out of himself.

It was funny. I'm surprised that he could make fun of himself. It is a slam on fast food workers, but my god, are we so PC that we can't tell the truth? When did working as a fry cook become a job that people aspire to do? Working fast food is a lowly job. That's just the way it is.

I hope this isn't going to revitalize his "career".

I actually laughed out loud and found myself liking him just a tiny bit (running from thread).

I wanted to hate it, but I lolololed along with all the folks I was watching with.

With Britney actin' such a fool, it's not totally unrealistic for KFed to turn public opinion around by laughing at himself and change his image for the better.

The ad was funny. I thought it was pretty cool of Kevin to make fun of himself like that. And the "Us National Restaurant Association" needs to take that stick out of their ass.
