Could Jessica Simpson and John Mayer's relationship be a tabloid scam?

According to spies from the New York Post's Page Six, Mayer and Simpson seemed more animated in front of paparazzi than they did on their own. Apparently the two caused a commotion coming and going from Nobu in South Beach, but hardly talked to each other while inside. "John was extremely quiet and didn't speak a lot," said a source, adding that Simpson "just gave a lot of puppy-dog looks and twirled and twisted her hair."

The spy also said Simpson spent 20 minutes primping and prepping herself for the paparazzi in the bathroom before making an exit.

totally buy this. i get a couple not wanting to show their relationship in public, but he looks like he doesnt even freakin notice her....I'm sure he banged her a couple times, though.

Why even bother? Everyone finds out eventually and then she just looks pathetic and stupid.

Yepp, exactly. He really doesn't seem to be attracted to her. And you know Pimp Daddy Simpson loves the idea of his daughter dating a guy for money.

She's had a shit-tay year and a half.

She leaves hubby thinking she'll be catapulted into the stratosphere of fame only to have it backfire and ex-hubby garner loads of sympathy and nice record sales.

Her album, the whispering mess that was "Public Affair" tanks in a super embarrassing way.

She makes a FOOL out of herself at The Kennedy Center Honors.

Finally, she pretends to date John Meyer, which only manages to make her look even more pathetic than all of the previous put together.

Honestly, I feel bad for her. He's such a leech. Can't stand him and his racist spouting. It's amazing that he's been able to fly under the radar after such rants. If anyone should get paid for faking a relationship, it should be her.
