Rosie O'Donnell took to her blog again, this time taking swipe at the Talk Queen herself, Oprah Winfrey.
At issue was Oprah's interview last Thursday with kidnap victim Shawn Hornbeck and his family. Rosie, in her non-sensical, haiku-meets-illiterate-rambling kinda way, refers to Hornbeck on her blog as "paraded out for america to see." She goes on:
"after 4 years captive
a new haircut couldn't hide
his tormented eyes"
But Rosie -- long considered an advocate for the rights of children (and homosexuals, and fat people, and Broadway musicals) -- did find someone above rebuke; the parents of the other kidnapped boy, Ben Ownby.
"ben
will not be appearing
on tv today
a moment of sanity"
Careful Rosie, going after the Donald is one thing, but you might not want to take on the O. Has anyone seen James Frey lately?

The Oprah will make her pay. You do not cross The Oprah.

This isn't even close to a catfight. I foresee a sudden death for Rosie from choking on a Twinkie, at least that's what the official reports will say...

I guess the moment of sanity must have passed when Ben appeared on the Today show with Meredith Viera. Not sure if Rosie made any comments about her, but considering she was on The View, it's doubtful.

I was listening to Howard Stern this morning and he was talking about Oprah and the family of the kidnapped kid (Hornbeck). He asked the audience: If your child had been kidnapped, 4 yrs ago, and suddenly discovered what would you do next?
A) get him and the family immediately into counseling and embrace him in a sea of protective arms OR
B) trot him out to every willing network, including an hour of Oprah to just seemingly embarrass the hell outta this kid???
Now, I don't think this family is deliberately pimping out the kid, but Howard made a few good points. Wouldn't you just want to lay low for a few weeks?

I saw part of that show and wondered why in the hell his parents would parade him around like that. Shame on them for agreeing to it. That said, it kills me to either agree with Rosie or Oprah.
Here's a question though, who'd win in a war between The Donald and The Oprah?

The only person i can think of who could win a fight against Oprah is Bill Gates, and I still wouldn't put money on it.

Oh, it would have to be The Oprah. The Donald can't hold a candle to that machine. Oprah should steal Melania away.

Agreed. I enjoy Rosie's antics, too, though I do think she needs to check her meds. Going after Oprah is not a smart move. Oprah is a colossus. Rosie would only make herself look bad going after someone that many people admire. I'm not a fan of Oprah, myself, but even I can see that she's done some good in this world. Rosie vs. Oprah=disaster of mammoth proportions.
