dina is such a bad mother......its sad
MZ has learned that Lindsay Lohan left Wonderland -- but only to go to the doctor.
Lohan, a sponsor and a friend left the rehab facility this afternoon to have her incision checked from last week's appendectomy. A source close to Lindsay tells us that as she left the center, several paparazzi went nuts, hoping to get the money shot of Lindsay leaving rehab for good. Sorry guys; she went to the doctor, stopped at the Country Mart in Malibu for a snack and returned to rehab.
As for Lindsay's mom Dina... rather than getting on a plane to be with her daughter, she decided to sit down and run her mouth about her daughter's recovery. In an interview with someone named Gina Glickman from News 12 on Long Island, NY (we haven't heard of her either), Dina says, "...it takes a really strong human being" to enter treatment.
Yeah... how about being a strong mother and being with your kid?

Ok, Dina Lohan is just beyond pathetic.
Mischief. Mayhem. Tattoos. Soap.
I heard that Dina is now complaining that Lindsay is being hounded by the media.
Perhaps Dina shouldn't have made an appearance on Entertainment Tonight and
why did they mention which rehab facility Lindsay entered?
Scariest Halloween mask ever > > >
This mother is a wannabe. Was a Rockette and that's as far as she got.
Into the sunrise. The sunset is sad to me….it only means the night is coming.
Isn't that funny... they're saying she left Wonderland only to go to doctor's. On 'The Insider' (where Dina apparently appeared on as well) say it's a 'day treatment' centre, then they leave to go home afterwards (which is a scary thought for Lilo), hence those pics of Lilo entering show her holding a grocery bag of snacks and one medium-size Chanel (?) bag for her personal belongings. That's it.
I'm all confused now.
Go Habs Go!!
wait if its outpatient won't she drink and get high anyways (when she leaves)?? how ridiculous
I'm sorry, I'm behind on this story. What is she supposedly in rehab FOR?

Yip, yip, yip in your tiny indignation. Bark furiously on, lady dog.
^^ I don't recall them saying specifically but it's probably a good guess to say polysubstance abuse.
At this point, she is better off without her mother's "support".
I am having a bad feeling about this. I think she would have been much better off leaving LA for a while and going to an out of the way rehab with a good track record, like the Caron Institute in PA, or something similar, and devoting six months or so to getting clean and getting her life back on track. But how can a child know these things without any real guidance? Sure, Lindsay knows a little about acting and a lot about what she perceives to be "adult" things - drinking and drugging and whoring around - but she knows so little about life, and there doesn't seem to be anyone in her life to show her the way. They all want a piece of the Lindsay Pie, so to speak.
So I assume Wonderland's not an all-day rehab center then. If that's the case then Lindsay's never gonna clean up, you can correct yourself when you have some amount of control and freedom to do what you want. You have to be away from what you addicted to and that only works when you're treated on for a period of time.
Not that I care that much about her, just saying
dina said: "I'm her mother, not her keeper" on that access interview. Nice.
I hate Dina. No wonder Lindsay has turned out so screwed up. I know I'd be screwed up if I had a mother like that.

Re: the facility being day only, I thought I read she is in the middle of shooting a movie, and she'd be allowed to leave to go shoot during the day, but had to be back at night?! I remember thinking when I read it that if she can't commit to just staying there for several weeks, it wasn't going to work anyway.
Edited to add: OK, I was curious, so I googled Wonderland...they are a residential facility, so she must stay there, but look at this paragraph I found..
Wonderland realizes that life does not come to a stop when a client comes in for treatment. Making the commitment to receive help is an essential step. Since Wonderland is located in Los Angeles, the backbone of the entertainment industry, we recognize that many of our clients have careers in the performance arts. For countless years, it has been accepted that the performing arts go hand-in-hand with a bleak history of alcoholism and addiction. How many successful artists have been cut down in their prime by these chronic and fatal diseases? How many more have had their careers shortened and their reputations stained on account of a tabloid explosion in relation to alcoholism and addiction? Recognizing the necessity of performers fulfilling pre-existing commitments when they are in desperate need of treatment, Wonderland has developed a working solution to this all-too-familiar problem.
Our solution begins with the understanding that life and work do not stop on account of a performer needing treatment. If an actor must fulfill contractual obligations at a point when treatment is a necessity, we have developed a balance that will allow both objectives to be realized. Our first example is an actor who is working on a film and needs to be on set and needs immediate treatment. Wonderland will provide a Sober Companion or Sober Assistant to assist with this situation. Sober Companions and Sober Assistants will travel back and forth with the client to the set, allowing the client to keep their external life on track while finding the path of recovery. Sober Companions may prevent extensive damage to a career, a pocketbook or a reputation.
Sober Companion? Sober Assistant? Seriously?![]()
