David & Victoria Beckham moving to LA
"Becks and Posh To Move To U.S., Provide Us With More Material
Thursday January 11, 2007

Posh and Becks are coming stateside. David Beckham agreed to a five-year $250 million deal with the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer, leaving the Real Madrid club.
Beckham, the former English captain who also played for Manchester United, will join the Galaxy after his contract with Real Madrid expires on June 30.
"I am proud to have played for two of the biggest clubs in football and I look forward to the new challenge of growing the world's most popular game in a country that is as passionate about its sport as my own," he said in a statement released Thursday.
The move was announced following the end of talks on extending the 31-year-old English midfielder's contract with the Spanish club. MLS recently changed its rules on salary caps, clearing the way for Beckham to sign the lucrative deal.
The folks at Best Week Ever consulted some statisticians, who had some predictions for what will unfold once Beckham and his Spice-Girl-in-matrimony, Victoria Beckham, 32, land on American soil.
· 98 percent chance Posh & Becks will convert to Scientology.
· 93 percent chance Tom Cruise starts to creep them out and they leave the church, only to find their lives ruined soon after.
· 92 percent chance L.A. will sell out of self-tanner.
· 54 percent chance Victoria Beckham overtakes Nicole Richie’s “Most Visible Clavicle” Award.
To which we add: 62 percent chance Becks will become disoriented by all of the rotund fake boobies, and administer some penalty kicks to the silicone-enhanced chests of several unsuspecting women before the LAPD finally manages to bring him down.
Talk to Us: Are you excited Becks and Posh are coming to the U.S.?"

Does that mean we'll be getting bikini shots of Posh a la Lilo? That's something to look forward too....

Oddly enough she usually covers up on the beach, I cannot remember seeing her in a bikini ever. The last beach shots I saw she had a tunic over the top of her bikini. I think she's very paranoid about stretchmarks on her stomach.
Hope you guys have fun seeing her in every single magazine you pick up now!

I could never understand why she wants to make it in the US. All this means is that there would be hotter girls for David to cheat with. NO matter how goodlooking he is, soccer will never be big in the US because of the NFL and baseball. They're a traveling sideshow. Plus, they're never gonna get the coverage they did in Europe because in the US there are bigger celebs and sports stars. In Europe there aren't that many celebs over there so the Beckhams got front page all the time. Even on ESPN radio they said that no one really cares and it really doesn't change how everyone in the US sports media view soccer

They are only going to LA to be smaller fish in a bigger celebrity scum pond, in hopes that they will work that into being bigger fish in the bigger celebrity scum pond. The lure of Hollywood! is strong for the obsessed fame whore.

I couldn't agree more. Plus, I don't think the US will pick up the huge soccer fever that the rest of the world has immediately, but trust me, you will start feeling some sort of energy about soccer with Beckham playing here. He's the biggest star in the game, and some soccer fanatics actually order cable based on if the stations have access to European soccer leagues. I can only imagine the attention that American soccer will start getting because of Beckham's team from the rest of the world.
And trust me, once that attention starts pouring in from everywhere else 'cos of Beckham, it will slowly start catching on. Soccer will catch on here in the US at some point ... FOR SURE!!!

I guess she'll be snorting up a good bit of L.A.'s blow with those vacuum nostrils of hers. Maybe it'll cut back on Lindsay's supply and save her life.

I live in Italy and they talk about soccer *a lot* here: Dave has been "kindly" invited to leave his actual team and no other team in Europe seems to really want him because he behaves like a superstar instead of training. That's why he accepted to move to USA... well, that and the five-year $250 million deal.

i completly agree with you. im all excited already. i do belive the US will pick up the huge soccer fever and I hope they do. To my view, I think soccer can be fun, but since all eyes on other crappy things. I think, it's only the beginning. It's been getting a bit of a hype. I'm very excited, I know he's good looking and all, but I'm more excited watching him play. He's very good at that, I can see.
