    Default Jennifer Aniston to adopt?

Jennifer Aniston plans to adopt a baby.

The 37-year-old actress - who is divorced from husband Brad Pitt and recently broke up from boyfriend Vince Vaughn - wants to have a son, and is prepared to open her home to a disadvantaged youngster.

A source told the National Enquirer magazine: "Jennifer says that when her year-and-a-half affair with Vince ended, she started rethinking her priorities.

"She's 37, and adopting a child would be a way to put some roots down without feeling desperate about the future. She says she'd love to have a son - that's what she's feeling in her heart."

The former 'Friends' star is desperate to become a mother, but after her recent romantic troubles doesn't want to get involved with another man.

The source added: "Jennifer would still love to have children biologically someday, but she feels burned out on relationships right now and isn't looking forward to dating again.

"Adoption is something she and Brad talked about when they were married, before his current partner Angelina Jolie adopted her first child."

Oh, she must be about to come out with a movie about a woman who adopts a little boy. Great publicity, ya know?

This would seem like a really bad PR idea. I totally understand why a single woman in her 30s would chose this path but she would just fuel the comparisons between her and St. Angelina.

I generally like Jennifer Aniston but she wants a son because they have a daughter? - talked about adopting when they were together before St. Angelina adopted her first? This to me is like Oprah doing so much in Africa now that St. Angelina showed her up. Granted she's done amazing things here in the US, but all these reports lately that she's done this for Africa and she's done that for Africa and she's adopted years ago (probably before St. Angelina did) but they just don't live with her. Why now?

If she's got a choice and determined to do this I think a son would be a safer bet than a daughter what with all that unresolved mother/daughter shit between she and her own mom.

Yeah, she's utterly incapable of holding onto a man, is a chainsmoker and neurotic. Definite mom material.

If she does adopt a boy, that kid is gonna have some serious issues with women when he grows up. Scary.

I could seriously picture her being a single mom, but she does have issues to work but who doesn't. A child can make a person straighten up, just look at angelina.
