Appendix surgery for Lindsay Lohan
Lindsay Lohan is having surgery to remove her appendix on Thursday.
"She does have appendicitis, and she is getting her appendix removed," her rep, Leslie Sloane, tells PEOPLE.
Lohan, 20, was reportedly diagnosed with appendicitis after feeling ill on Wednesday.
"I'm shocked," a friend of the actress tells PEOPLE. "I talked to her last night and she told me she was not feeling well but she thought it was a 24-hour-flu."
This is not the first health scare for Lohan. She fractured her wrist in September after a fall at a party in New York City, and was hospitalized in July after becoming "overheated and dehydrated," Sloane said at the time.
On a less serious note, she recently complained about the bruises she'd gotten on her thighs while practicing pole dancing for her role as a stripper in the upcoming thriller I Know Who Killed Me.

I'm sure she's going to the hospital for something (probably another elective cosmetic surgery), but I doubt very seriously it's appendicitis.

Grimm^^ I noticed the haircuts on your signature and I had to tell you about what happened when I went to the salon last week. There was a boy sitting next to me and as his dad described the cut he wanted, I realized that he was perfectly describing the "Baby Saver" and I laughed out loud. He said "We want something 'bi-level' with thick bangs extending to the sides and long layers in the back." The best part was when the hairdresser tried to talk him out of it, suggesting something more "modern."
