Madonna won't cut adopted son's hair for 3 years to follow Kabbalah

The 'Hung Up' singer is determined that her new son, 16-month-old David Banda, is brought up in accordance with the teachings of the mystical offshoot of Judaism, and, as a result, his hair will remain untouched until a special ceremony on his third birthday.

A source close to the 48-year-old singer told Britain's Daily Express newspaper: "Madonna has made it clear that David's hair is not to be touched at all, even if it grows into an Afro hairstyle.

"When the time comes it will be a big ceremony and lots of men in the Kabbalah community will gather round and each of them will cut a bit off. According to the Kabbalah, young boys can start wearing skull caps after their first haircut."

Madonna's five-year-old biological son Rocco, from her marriage to British film director Guy Ritchie, also followed the same ritual at the insistence of his mother and has been excitedly talking to his new brother about the eventual ceremony.

The source added: "The two boys have formed a real bond and Rocco is always adjusting David's red Kabbalah wristband and telling him all about its rituals and beliefs."

How sick. I guess it doesn't occur to Madonna how embarrassed her boys will be when they look at photos of themselves as kids and see that they had long, unkempt, girly hair (or in David's case, a huge afro). Her involvement with Kabbalah is such a joke anyway. What a stupid, pretentious lunatic.

Don't little kids HATE to have their haircut?? I'm just thinking of the special ceremony where all those in the Kabbalah community gather 'round this poor kid and each snip a piece of his hair off. Sounds cultishly creepy to me....

Whats the big deal? Lots of cultures dont cut childrens' hair for several years. its not like she's Hudson, who seems to keep Ryder dirty and with long hair for gd knows why. she pactices Kabalah and so let her do it

ACtually, Kate claims that she won't cut his hair because she's part Jewish. She actually had it cut into a nice little bob a few weeks back. He's, what, 3 and still always with that pacifier too.
