Alexis Arquette To Televise Sex Change Decision
DAVID ARQUETTE's drag queen brother ALEXIS plans to share his transition into womanhood with the world, by filming his proposed sex change operation for a new reality TV show.
Alexis, 36, has hatched plans to film the event - if he decides to go through with it - for US network A+E and package it together for a show called ALEXIS ARE-CUT.
A spokeswoman tells America's Star magazine, "A+E has exclusive access to Alexis Arquette as he goes through the process to decide if he'll have surgery. That's a decision he has not yet made."

In a way I feel like televising the sex change and being a showman about it kind of demeans other people who seriously need the operation - people who have been struggling their whole lives with their sexual identity. I dunno, I'm sure he wouldn't be undergoing a serious operation for fame or anything, but still, it puts a comical/entertaiment-oriented light on the whole thing.
