I'm team Paul all the way but I could swear his concert that I saw a few years ago was one of the highest grossing concerts that year. I also think he is worth closer to one billion dollars but that's just a guess.
McCartney: 'Mills Will Get Nothing from Divorce'
By WENN| Wednesday, December 27, 2006
HOLLYWOOD - Paul McCartney has reportedly told Heather Mills she will make nothing from their impending divorce--as he didn't earn any money during their four year marriage.
The former Beatle has issued his estranged wife's lawyers with the statement, and is hoping Mills will not fight the divorce in a courtroom--as he claims she would "end up with nothing."
McCartney, whose amassed fortune is rumored to be around $585 million, made his money before marrying Mills in 2002. He says he made a financial loss until 2006, after embarking on several world tours, according to British newspaper Daily Mirror.
British lawyer Caitlin Jenkins says, "It's a good tactic for Sir Paul--but also quite a high-risk strategy.
"Only about 10 percent of contested divorce cases go down this route.
"Sir Paul is trying to persuade Heather's team to advise her to come to an agreement--by suggesting she could end up with nothing if the divorce goes to court.
"In essence, Sir Paul is showing her how bad it could be for her."

If you think it's crazy, you ain't seen a thing. Just wait until we're goin down in flames.

He's so loaded. But Heather dealt the play and he is responding in kind. She was offered a lot, and turned it down. Little Beatrice won't go without, that's what counts.
I admire him being a hand on father. She's a cutie pie.
Heather - take a lump sum and be done with this.

I presumed his last 2 tours made a fortune too.
I've read that he gets a millions in royalties each year from the Beatles
back catalogue.
Although, technically speaking, its royalties from something he recorded decades ago, its still current income for tax purposes. So I assume it would be, for divorce purposes also.
I can just imagine hopalongs lawyers jumping on that and painting him as liar
next.
Oh I soooo hope she heeds this and buggers off into obscurity. She doesn't deserve a penny for being such a vindictive beeyatch! I'm still hoping that Stella knocks her head off!
Curiouser and curiouser...
Go, Stella! I'd like to see Stella clobber her stepmom, too. It sounds like Paul is playing hardball, which is probably all a bitch like Heather would understand, anyway. She needs to just take whatever he offers her and disappear.
I hope she does end up with nothing ... it seems like she wouldn't happy with whatever she gets anyway and would be hounding the poor guy to the grave for more money, more money, more money. Ugh.
*clapping* Way to go Paul!
"Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counsellors, and the most patient of teachers."
I read a quote from him somewhere where he says, "Everyone thinks I'm worth about one billion. I don't know where they get that from. It's more like 600 million."
Even if the tour sold a lot of tickets, it's easy to claim a loss for tax purposes. Maybe the cost of the tour was exhorbanant, he donated an excessive amount of cash to charity, maybe the health food line is draining his pockets. My guess is he sat down with his attorneys and accountants to make sure he comes up as a loss for those years, otherwise, it's risky to make this statement when you can easily be refuted.
Why doesn't she just settle? I think she was offered quite a bit. It wasn't half his fortune, but it was a substantial amount. I still can't believe that he didn't have a prenup. Nothing as stupid as young love or old love. Don't get me wrong, I love Paul and think he's been treated horribley. But no pre-nup when you're worth that much is idiotic.
He made no money during their marriage?? I find that one hard to believe, but if it's true, good for him for pointing that out---and fuck that bitch.
I loves me some Paul McCartney....hope he bounces back from this ok and finds a REAL woman. Like moi.
i don't believe he didn't earn any money while them two were married. i don't understand why she doesnt want to take what he offered her? i never knew she was a witch...i thought it was the other way around, that stella treated her very badly. hmmm...
I'm sure that he must of earned some money while they were married. But Heather needs to get real, take whatever settlement Paul gives her and get on with her life.
